Love and Deepspace is a sci-fi otome game, which means a romance story built around a cast of love interests. Who You Can Romance in Love and Deepspace
The love interests in Love and Deepspace are Xavier, Zayne, Rafayel, Sylus and Caleb, and you can romance all of them. The game launched with Xavier, Zayne and Rafayel, and Sylus joined in a 2024 update, followed by Caleb in early 2025. Papergames has said Caleb is the final love interest, so these are the full set of romance options.
How Does Affinity Work With Love Interests?
Affinity is your relationship level with a love interest, and each one has a separate meter. As it climbs, it unlocks new story chapters, dates and romantic scenes with that character. That's what moves the romance forward, so it's worth keeping an eye on the level for each one you care about.
How to Raise Affinity With Your Love Interest
Much of your affinity comes from small, everyday contact. Replying to texts, answering calls and joining video chats all count. Tapping your love interest on the home screen and liking or commenting on their posts in the in-game social feed also add up. Because these small actions build on each other, checking in every day keeps the bond growing.
Dates are the more involved side of the relationship. Your choices in dialogue during events and special dates move things forward, so take a moment with each option before you pick one. Playtime activities such as Kitty Cards and the Claw Machine, and taking photos together in the Photo Studio, also add affinity.
How Do You Get Love Interest Memory Cards?
Your bond with each love interest is built through their memory cards, which you get by making wishes in the game's pull system. Limited banners feature some cards you can't get anywhere else, and rarer cards, especially five-star ones, give a bigger affinity boost. Leveling and ranking a card adds affinity too, with higher-level cards giving more.
Awakening a five-star card also grants bonus affinity with that character, but it takes some work. The card needs to reach level 80, be fully ranked, and use duplicate copies. The same cards also set how strong your partner is in combat, so building them helps on both sides of the game.
How Do Love Interests Fight Alongside You?
You fight with one love interest at a time, and you can't go into battle alone. Each one uses a different power type called Evol (Light, Ice, Fire, Energy or Gravity), so the partner you choose changes how your team fights.
Every love interest has a support skill, a resonance skill and a passive skill. The resonance skill you can use depends on which partner you're teamed with, and each partner's power rises with how high their memory card is leveled. Memory cards also have a Stellactrum type, and lining one up with the matching type on the field makes the fight easier.
