In House Flipper, the 2018 renovation game, you take on client jobs, fix up run-down homes and sell them for a profit. Each job is a renovation request from a client, and finishing it earns you money. The base game and its DLC each add their own set of these jobs.

What Jobs Are in House Flipper
A job is a checklist of work for one house, such as clearing trash, cleaning dirt, painting walls, tiling floors and furnishing rooms. Jobs are the main way to earn cash early on, and you need that cash before you can buy a property of your own. As you finish more of them, your skills grow, some tasks unlock, and your tools can be upgraded.
Where to Find House Flipper Jobs: Mailbox or Map
Base game jobs arrive as emails in the mailbox on your in-game laptop, and so do the Apocalypse and Garden jobs. The HGTV, Luxury, Pets, Farm and Dine Out packs work differently. Their jobs are laid out on a map of a town, which you open from the laptop's Maps section and scroll around to find the house you want. It helps to know which kind you're looking at, since map jobs tend to be bigger, often covering a full renovation and furnishing rather than a few fixes.
How Much House Flipper Jobs Pay
Pay depends on two things: the size of the job and how well you do it. Finishing the whole checklist earns the top payout, while stopping early pays less. On HGTV jobs, each one has its own budget, separate from your cash, and any money left over can go toward extra work beyond the listed tasks. Higher Payment is a perk you can unlock through skills, and it raises what jobs pay, so it's worth getting early.
Which House Flipper Jobs Unlock Houses to Buy
Jobs also decide which houses you can buy. In the base game, finishing an email job adds its property to your browser, the list of houses you can purchase and flip. Those early jobs also work as a tutorial for the renovation tools, so they're the ones to finish first. On the map packs, you start with one house, and finishing its job adds it to your browser and opens up more jobs.
Garden Jobs and the Garden Competition Bonus
Garden jobs bring yard work into the game. The tasks include clearing rubble and trash, mowing, cutting down trees, pulling weeds, laying paths and planting flowerbeds. You also get new tools for the work, such as a shovel, garden hose, axe, gas-powered lawn mower and brush cutter.
The Garden Competition is a separate contest where a finished garden can be entered, and judges score it from one to five stars. A higher score adds more to the house's sale price. It's a way to get more from a property you've already fixed up.
How the House Flipper DLC Jobs Differ
Each pack keeps the core idea of renovating for a client, but changes the setting and the work. Apocalypse jobs have you build fallout shelters and then sell the homes to preppers who pay for the shelters. On HGTV jobs, some rooms come with choices, like their purpose or furniture style. There's no wrong answer, though the choices can change how your budget goes.
Luxury jobs are set in Moonrise Bay, where you renovate expensive modern and old houses and restore old furniture by stripping and repainting it. Farm jobs are story orders in Maplebloom Village, and they range from a chicken coop to a go-kart track. Pets is built around adopting and caring for animals like dogs and cats. Dine Out jobs have you renovate restaurants and cafes, not run them.
FAQ
Can you replay House Flipper jobs?
Yes. Jobs can be replayed after you finish them the first time. On HGTV jobs, each one has two or three choice questions with two options apiece, so you can complete the same job twice and try a different path.
Why doesn't every job add a house to my browser?
Garden jobs are the main case. The Garden pack adds a few houses you can flip and sell, but not every garden job unlocks one. Those jobs still pay out, so a job without a new house is still worth doing for the money.
