Cursed Objects are special tools you find at a job site in Demonology. Each one helps you find, summon, or talk to the ghost, but using it drains your energy and can set off a Cursed Hunt you cannot stop. This list lines up all six so you can weigh what each one does against the risk it carries.

Haunted Mirror
A fast ghost-room finder that hits your energy hard. It costs 30% up front and keeps draining about 20% per second, so glance once and put it down before it breaks.
- purpose
- Reveals the ghost room by showing a static vision of it in the mirror.
- how to use
- Equip and use the mirror to see a frozen image of the ghost room. Stop holding it once you have the room so you do not drain out.
- energy cost
- 30% on first use, then about 20% per second while you keep holding it (as reported).
- Cursed Hunt trigger
- If you keep using it while too low on energy, the mirror breaks and starts a Cursed Hunt. It cannot be used again once broken.
- requirement
- -
Magnifying Glass
A live ghost tracker that shows the ghost's current spot while you hover the glass over it. It drains about 3% per second and breaks at zero energy into a Cursed Hunt, so sweep quickly and put it away.
- purpose
- Pinpoints the ghost's live position by hovering it over the ghost.
- how to use
- Equip the magnifying glass and sweep it around the site, hovering it over the ghost to reveal where it currently is. Stop using it once you have the position so you do not drain out.
- energy cost
- About 3% per second while you keep using it, draining steadily until it reaches zero (as reported).
- Cursed Hunt trigger
- Like the Haunted Mirror, the glass breaks when your energy reaches zero, starting a Cursed Hunt. Once broken it cannot be used again.
- requirement
- -
Music Box
A slower, gentler ghost-room finder. It drains about 2.5% per second, and a Dybbuk gets stunned while it plays, so it doubles as a soft ghost-type tell.
- purpose
- Helps locate the ghost room; the ghost sings along when you are close to it.
- how to use
- Use the box to start its melody and walk around the site. When you are near the ghost room, the ghost begins to sing along.
- energy cost
- About 2.5% per second while in use, draining steadily until it reaches zero (as reported).
- Cursed Hunt trigger
- When its energy hits zero, a Cursed Hunt starts and the melody plays in reverse. After that it no longer responds to the ghost or drains energy.
- requirement
- -
Umbra Board
The most informative cursed object: it answers chat questions about the ghost. Cost is paid per question and varies, with room questions being the most expensive, so ask only what you need.
- purpose
- Lets you ask the ghost direct questions to find the ghost room and learn other details.
- how to use
- Stand near the board (or hold it) and type a question in Roblox chat. The default prompts find the ghost room, check the ghost's location, or check your energy. The ghost answers through the planchette.
- energy cost
- Charged per question and the amount depends on the question (as reported): room/location questions about 40%, presence questions about 20%, and age or energy checks about 5%.
- Cursed Hunt trigger
- Asking a question without enough energy makes the board levitate and permanently break, starting a hunt. The ghost can also be angered into starting one, and a 'hide and seek' prompt deliberately triggers a hunt.
- requirement
- -
Summoning Circle
The 'summon on purpose' object. Light all five candles for a guaranteed ghost photo, but it costs 50% energy and always ends in a Cursed Hunt, so plan your escape first.
- purpose
- Summons the ghost into the open so you can get a guaranteed, safe ghost photo.
- how to use
- Use a Lighter to light all 5 candles around the circle. Once every candle is lit the ghost appears, nearby doors swing open and shut, then a hunt begins.
- energy cost
- 10% energy per candle, for 50% total once all 5 candles are lit (as reported).
- Cursed Hunt trigger
- Always starts a Cursed Hunt right after the summon animation finishes; the circle can only be used once and turns black afterward.
- requirement
- A Lighter, plus the circle's 5 candles to light.
Fortune Teller
The wildcard. Spend a Fortune Coin for a random ticket whose effect ranges from restoring energy to starting a hunt or even instant death, so it is high-risk and luck-based rather than a steady tool.
- purpose
- A gamble that draws a random Fortune Ticket, which can either help or hurt you.
- how to use
- Insert a Fortune Coin to get a reading; music and animations play, then a Fortune Ticket drops that anyone can pick up. Equip the ticket to reveal its random effect, which triggers as it burns away. No one can insert another coin until the ticket is picked up.
- energy cost
- No direct usage energy cost; it runs on Fortune Coins instead. Some ticket outcomes still affect energy (for example one drains energy, while others restore it).
- Cursed Hunt trigger
- Outcomes are random. One ticket reading starts a Cursed Hunt, and another can instantly kill the user, so the risk depends on the draw rather than the object breaking.
- requirement
- Fortune Coins, which spawn around the site (more on larger sites).

Only one cursed object shows up per job, so know what you get
Apart from Nightmare difficulty, only one cursed object spawns at each job site, picked at random from the ones in rotation. You do not get to choose, so it helps to know how all of them behave before you walk in. Most of them drain your energy fast and break when you run out, and a broken object cannot be used again that job.
A Cursed Hunt cannot be blocked, so plan your escape
The hunt a cursed object starts is special: Crosses will not stop it, and only cursed objects can cause it. That means once you commit to summoning, asking too many questions, or holding an object until it breaks, the hunt is coming. Use the object near a safe spot or a hiding place, grab the info or photo you need, and be ready to run the moment it triggers.
FAQ
Can you stop a Cursed Hunt with a Cross?
No. A Cursed Hunt is started only by a cursed object, and Crosses cannot block it. Once it triggers you have to run or hide instead of relying on protection.
How many cursed objects spawn at a job site?
Only one, chosen at random from the objects in rotation, on every difficulty except Nightmare. You cannot pick which one you get, so it pays to know how all of them work.
Which cursed object is safest to use?
The locating tools like the Music Box and Haunted Mirror are the most controllable, since you can stop using them before they drain out. The Summoning Circle and Fortune Teller carry the most risk, because the circle always ends in a hunt and the Fortune Teller can roll a hunt or even instant death.
What happens when a cursed object runs out of energy?
Most objects that drain energy, like the Haunted Mirror, Magnifying Glass, and Music Box, break when your energy hits zero and start a Cursed Hunt. Once broken they cannot be used again for the rest of the job.
