Choose the currency that matches your goal
Ichor and Research both support progress beyond one run, but they do different jobs. Ichor is the store-spending route, while Research follows Twisted study and research-based progression. Decide which goal you are chasing before you spend time farming the other balance.
Tapes are your in-run budget. Use them when an Item from Dandy's Shop in the Elevator or a tape-cost Toon Ability can help the run you are in. Unused Tapes do not carry over when the run ends, so a big balance is not useful if you never turn it into an advantage.
Keep pickups and event currencies separate
A physical Tape pickup is an item object that adds to the Tapes balance, and a Research Capsule is an item object tied to earning Research. They are not extra currency types, so the pickup objects remain in the Items collection.
Baskets, Ornaments, and Pumpkins are seasonal event currencies. They reset with their events and do not belong with the evergreen account and in-run economy.
