Twisteds are the corrupted doubles of the toon cast, and every one of them is a rules card: a walk and chase speed, an attention span that says how long they hunt, a detection range, and usually a mechanic that punishes something you were planning to do anyway. Surviving a floor is mostly a matter of knowing whose rules are in play.

The numbers that chase you
Speed ranges show walk and chase speed, and the second number is the one that matters: anything chasing faster than your run speed has to be dodged with geometry, not distance. Attention span sets how long a chase lasts after you break line of sight, and detection range decides how wide a berth a machine worker needs to give.
Mechanics are the real difficulty
The dangerous twisteds are rarely the fastest ones; they are the ones whose mechanic converts your routine into damage: punishing failed skill checks, draining machines, laying traps, or marking toons across the floor. Main twisteds stack several rules at once, which is why their floors play like boss encounters.
- Learn chase speeds relative to your toon; the same twisted is a threat to one team member and scenery to another.
- Break line of sight early. Attention span timers only start when they lose you.
- Read a mechanic as a ban list: whatever it punishes, stop doing while that twisted is on the floor.
FAQ
What is the fastest twisted?
Chase speeds cluster near the top of the listed ranges for main twisteds, several of which outrun every toon in a straight line, so they must be juked around obstacles rather than outpaced.
What does research do?
Surviving near a twisted fills its research meter; 100% research unlocks rewards including trinkets and toons tied to that twisted.
Do twisteds despawn?
They persist on the floor rotation, so the plan is finishing machines while managing them, not waiting them out.
