Foods are the items you feed to your Tatari, the creatures you collect and raise in Clash of Critters. Each meal adds feeding points that raise your Tatari's stat grades, and feeding also comes up in several evolution trials. Most foods only work on Tatari that share their element, though a couple of special ones work on more Tatari. Knowing which food fits which Tatari helps you get the most out of every feeding.

What Foods Do for Your Tatari
Feeding raises your Tatari's stat grades, which are the letter ranks shown for stats like HP, Attack and Defense. Each Tatari has its own fixed order for those upgrades, and every meal adds feeding points toward its next stage. Each stage needs more points than the one before it, so early stages come quickly, while reaching stage 10 takes more than 5,000 points in total.
From stage 3 on, each stage also asks for a certain star level, so points alone won't always be enough. Blue Tatari, the common ones, can't go past stage 10.
Which Tatari Can Eat Which Food
Most foods belong to one element, and a Tatari can only eat food that matches its element. A Lightning Tatari needs Lightning food, a Water Tatari needs Water food, and the same goes for Fire, Grass and Rock. Keep that in mind before you feed, because a food from another element simply isn't an option for that Tatari.
Two foods work more widely. Cookies fit any Tatari, but they add just 1 feeding point, so they're more of a flexible extra than a big boost. Glitter Fruit works on Purple-or-higher Tatari (Purple, Gold, Red or Rainbow) in any element. It adds 15 feeding points and has a 0.4% chance to make the fed Tatari Glitter.
Which Foods Matter Most
Each element has a small, medium and large food, and the large ones move a Tatari much further every time you feed it. That's why they're the ones to reach for when your feedings are limited. You can feed 15 times a day across your whole account, so it pays to spend those on the Tatari you're pushing toward its next evolution instead of spreading them across your team.
The Auto Feeder, which you place in your camp, can feed up to three Tatari a day using one food you choose. The Tatari Canteen opens up once you reach 8 boss stars.
Feeding and Evolution Trials
Feeding is also part of evolving. A third-tier (T3) trial starts with feeding a Tatari to raise its stats three times, and each element adds its own task on top. A fourth-tier (T4) trial asks you to feed a Tatari until it reaches Rating B, and some Tatari need one more special requirement.
Voltfawn is a good example. Its fourth-tier condition is feeding 15 Gold Tempura Plates, so that food matters for that Tatari in particular.
How to Get Foods in Clash of Critters
Every food can come from Boss Challenge rewards and the Game Shop, so those are the places to start building your supply. Food also turns up in other parts of the game, including Mall packs, Marathon Party, Treasure Hunt, Goldrush and the Bento Maker, which unlocks after chapter 1-70.
FAQ
What does satiety mean for food in Clash of Critters?
Satiety is the number of feeding points a food gives your Tatari. A food with 30 satiety adds 30 points toward the next stage, so the number shows how much progress one meal makes.
Is the Feed minigame the same as feeding my own Tatari?
No. The Feed minigame is a 30-second block-placing puzzle you play at a friend's camp. Playing it rewards your friend with a Blue Bento and gives you candy, but it doesn't move your own Tatari through its stages.
