Skills spend your Cash on upgrades that help you roll equipment, fight zombies or build a larger car. Open SKILLS to choose a branch. Your next purchase depends on what holds your build back, so the most expensive tile is not always the one you need.

Which skills should you buy first?
Buy an upgrade that solves a problem you already have. If a useful support sits in your inventory because you cannot mount it, More Support helps you use that equipment. Buying more luck first still leaves the support on the shelf.
Choose Luck or boosted-roll upgrades when you plan to keep rolling for parts and supports. Choose Damage when your weapons need more power, or Health when the car needs to survive longer. Construction upgrades are worth saving for when your design hits a building limit.
How skill branches unlock
The tree branches out rather than forcing every player through the same purchase order. Later ranks follow earlier ranks within their branch. Check the connected path before saving for a distant tile, since its price is only part of the Cash you will need to reach it.
Unlock Gold Roll requires tutorial completion. Plot Skill opens a separate construction tree for plot expansion, placement upgrades and painting. Opening that tree gives you access to those choices; it does not buy the upgrades inside it.
Support slots and placement capacity
More Support and Placement solve different building problems. More Support increases the support limit, while Placement changes the construction limit. Buy the branch that matches the limit your build has reached.
Plot Expansion changes the space available for building. If you have room but cannot place more pieces, more plot space does not address that placement limit.
FAQ
Do skill upgrades stay unlocked after a run?
Yes. Skill purchases persist between runs, so their benefits carry into your next drive.
Does Luck improve parts I already own?
Luck affects your equipment rolls. It does not increase the stats of the parts already in your inventory.
Is Paint Ability the premium colour-picker pass?
No. Paint Ability is a skill that unlocks painting. The premium colour-picker pass is a separate purchase.
