Barry's Prison Run Guide: Walkthrough, Bosses and Escape Tips

In Barry's Prison Run, you play a prisoner trying to break out, and the guard on duty, Barry, isn't always watching closely, so you get a chance to slip past. The game is built for first-person view, but you can switch the camera in settings if you'd rather play another way.

Each run starts in your cell, and you follow the yellow arrows out through the prison, climbing, jumping, and crawling through vents along the way. Barry patrols the cell blocks, so you wait for the patrol to pass or stay out of view. A wrench breaks open the vents that block your path, and a shovel digs down into the underground, where you cross breaking planks and dodge a rolling lava ball.

Garry the Chef throws food to slow you down in the cafeteria, but you can beat him with the Food-Zooka waiting behind the counter. You keep that weapon for Barry's giant mech in the courtyard, and you aim it at the mech's arms until Barry's health bar runs out. After that, you take a SWAT van, cross a desert obstacle section, and reach the helicopter that ends the run. Once Easy feels comfortable, try Hard mode for more traps.

BARRY'S PRISON RUN Gameplay Tips

Climb from the top bunk to the first vent. From your cell, follow the yellow arrow toward the top bunk, then climb onto it and up the wall pipes to open the air vent.
Grab the wrench before the next vent. Press the button by the spike pit to lay grates over the spikes, then take the wrench from the right wall platform. It lets you break the next vent, which drops you back to the main floor.
Skip the first bathroom stall for the shovel. The second stall to the right hides a hole and a shovel. Equip the shovel and dig down, because that hole is your way into the underground.
Keep moving across the wooden planks. They break as you cross, so don't stop to line up a jump.
Wait for the rolling lava ball to pass. Time your steps around it instead of racing in, since rushing puts you right in its path.
Stay back and strafe while you fire at Garry. His thrown food slows your movement, so keep your distance and move side to side. Keep firing the Food-Zooka until Garry's health bar is empty.
