In the Roblox obstacle course Barry's Prison Run, tools are items you pick up and use to get past obstacles on your way out of the prison. Most of them are route tools: a wrench breaks open a vent, a shovel digs down to the Underground route, a stepladder helps you reach a vent, an energy drink gives you a speed boost, and a metal plank works as a bridge. The Food-Zooka is the weapon you pick up behind the cafeteria counter to fight Garry the Chef and keep for the fight with Barry, the prison guard.

How to Find Route Tools in Barry's Prison Run
The route tools sit along the escape path, so you pick them up as you move through each area. The wrench is on a wall platform in the prison, the shovel is hidden in the bathroom, and the stepladder is in the storage room.
Using the Wrench and Stepladder in The Vents
The vents are where the wrench and stepladder come in. When a vent blocks your way, the wrench breaks it open and drops you back onto the main prison floor, where you have to stay out of Barry's sight. To use the stepladder, place it under the vent, and once the vent is open, jump off its top onto the ladder inside.
Digging Down With the Shovel to Reach the Underground
The shovel opens the way to the Underground route. You reach the bathroom through the vent at the end of the hall, then find a hole with a shovel beside it in the second stall from the right. Equip the shovel and dig down, and you'll drop toward lava sections that reconnect to the main prison path. Skipping that stall means missing the shovel and the whole Underground route, so it's worth stopping there.
Drinking the Energy Drink Before the Fast Parkour
After the Underground, you reach a crossroads where a hallway is blocked off. Head left to the vending machine and interact with it to get an energy drink, which raises your speed. Drink it before the high-speed parkour right beside the machine, where you jump at each yellow stripe and then climb a ladder. Pause after that stretch to confirm the next arrow before you move on.
Using the Metal Plank as a Bridge
The metal plank is for crossing gaps. Head down the hallway and up the ladder near the Barry boss fight to grab it, then bring it back down. Lay it across a gap to make a bridge, and once you reach the far side, pick it up again so you can reuse it.
Keeping the Food-Zooka for Garry and Barry
The Food-Zooka matters most in the boss fights. You find it behind the counter in the cafeteria, and you keep it after beating Garry the Chef, which matters because Barry's mech in the courtyard requires it. Click to fire, and stay out of reach of Garry while you move behind the counter, since the food Garry throws slows you down. Move side to side as you fire to make up for the slowdown, and keep firing until Garry's health bar runs out.
FAQ
Is there a shortcut after beating Garry?
A slide at the far end of the cafeteria takes you down to the next area.
Do you have to buy the tools?
No. The wrench, shovel, stepladder, energy drink, metal plank and Food-Zooka are all part of the standard route, so you pick them up as you play.
