Card tables, dice cups, horseshoe pits and arm wrestling tables are waiting in towns across New Austin, Nuevo Paraíso and West Elizabeth, and each one ticks off a spot on the 100% tracker. Finding the venues is the easy part. Knowing what counts as a win, and which wins also earn an outfit, is where the time goes.

Minigames
Buy-ins quoted for these games are standard Story Mode amounts. Rockstar says Hardcore Mode lowers minigame buy-ins, so expect smaller bets there.
What Counts as a 100% Win in Red Dead Redemption
Arm Wrestling and Five Finger Fillet ask for more than the first match. Win the best-of-three, then keep going until Marston stands up, or the game won't check off.
Blackjack counts when you leave the table with more chips than you sat down with. A winning hand doesn't help if the next one takes it back, so get up while you're ahead.
Poker and Liar's Dice both mean outlasting the table. One big pot won't get you there in Poker, and in Liar's Dice you need to be the last player still holding a die.
Horseshoes needs 11 points and a two-point lead. At 11 to 10, keep throwing.
Where the Games Open Up
New Austin venues are open once a game unlocks. Mexico venues wait until you reach Nuevo Paraíso in the Red Dead Redemption story missions, and West Elizabeth venues come later in the story. A game can be unlocked and still have some of its tables locked, so start with a New Austin venue if you want the quickest check.
Outfit Scraps and the Cheapest Poker Table
MacFarlane's Ranch has the lowest standard Poker buy-in, so it's the cheapest way to check off Poker. Stakes don't change the credit. A win at a cheap table counts the same as one at the Blackwater Saloon.
Outfit scraps are a separate goal, and every game has one tied to a specific town or result. Win the same game somewhere else and you still get the 100% credit, just not the scrap. Arm Wrestling and Poker both award the U.S. Army Uniform scrap. Both tasks are in West Elizabeth, so that scrap waits for the later part of the story.
FAQ
Do Nightwatch and Horsebreaking count as minigames?
No. Both are jobs, so a win at either one doesn't check off a minigame.
Are treasure maps a minigame?
No. Treasure maps belong to the Treasure Hunter challenge, not the minigames.
Do I need the Blackwater Hotel High Stakes table for 100%?
No. It's an optional Poker venue, and the table is only available while you wear Gentleman's Attire. The Poker outfit scrap doesn't need it either.
Do the multiplayer Poker and Liar's Dice from the Liars and Cheats Pack count?
No. Those multiplayer versions are separate. Only the Story Mode games count toward the 100% tracker.
