Use items the selected station can process. This estimates uninterrupted vanilla processing in empty stations. Parallel stations receive balanced batches; each burns its own fuel. Unused burning time cannot be stored after you stop feeding items.
How to use this tool
Choose a fuel and a supported station, then enter how many items you want to process. For parallel processing, enter the number of stations. Results balance the item batches and round fuel up separately for each station.
Fuel capacity and station speed
A normal furnace processes a standard recipe in 200 game ticks. A smoker or blast furnace processes its supported recipes faster and also consumes fuel faster. Faster processing does not automatically double the number of items a fuel can smelt. The selected fuel controls the estimate, including fuels with fractional item capacity.
Keep each station supplied
A station keeps burning after its output or input stops. Unused capacity means fuel time that remains after the planned items, not a reusable fuel item. Moving one job into several stations can require more fuel because every station needs its own rounded quantity. The calculation assumes empty fuel meters, standard vanilla recipes, and uninterrupted input. Smoker inputs must be food; blast-furnace inputs must support blasting.
FAQ
Why does using more furnaces sometimes need more fuel?
Each furnace burns its own whole fuel items. Rounding a smaller batch up at every station can waste more capacity.
Does a blast furnace double fuel efficiency?
It processes supported recipes faster while using fuel faster. Standard item capacity per fuel stays the same.
Does unused capacity become an item?
No. It is burning time left in the station, which can be wasted if more processable items do not arrive.
