How to Start the Piggy Quest in The Hollow
The quest runs as a round of Piggy, so you start in the Piggy game rather than the event hub. Setting up the round takes three steps:
- Join Piggy.
- On the map vote screen, pick Forest Chapter 4.
- Choose Bot mode.
Bot mode is the setting that makes the challenge a bit easier, so it's worth picking if you want a smoother run.
Collect the Three Candles While Dodging Piggy
Three candles are scattered across the Forest map, and Piggy is the monster you need to keep away from while you search. Candles usually turn up near machines and benches, so check those areas first. Starting there cuts down on wandering across the whole map.
Light the Portal and Clear Both Obstacle Courses
Use the candles to light the portal on the Forest map, then step through it to start the event's obstacle courses.
The first course has platforms that disappear. Only step on the solid ones, and stop on the middle platform before you go further. Adjust your camera so you can see the gaps before each jump.
The second course starts with a symbol sequence shown at the beginning of the section. Memorize it, then step only on the matching symbols as you head toward the boss arena.
Beat the Boss in Three Stages Within Ten Minutes
The boss fight has a ten-minute timer, and you need to finish all three stages before it runs out. Each stage follows the same pattern:
- Collect the planks scattered around the arena.
- Interact with the tentacles to reveal the puzzle solution.
- Use the planks to build bridges up to higher areas.
- At the top, enter the symbol combination to activate the cannon.
The steps repeat for all three stages, and each one has its own bridges and puzzle. The cannon combination changes every run, so don't reuse one from an earlier attempt. Throughout the fight, dodge the Hollow Entities and the boss's attacks, and watch your footing on the bridges.
Claim the Substance Survival Belt and Event Badge
When you finish the quest, head back to The Hollow Event Hub and find the Piggy portal. Stand at the pedestal beside it and interact to claim the belt and its badge.
