How to Survive Anomalies in Keep the Door Locked

Updated on August 14, 2026 (about 1 hour ago)

Camera first, lock the wrong guests, clear the room, then sleep with company. That is how you survive anomalies in Keep the Door Locked on Roblox. Each night is the same pressure: knocks at the door, noises in the room, and a bed that punishes empty rooms.

How to Survive Anomalies in Keep the Door Locked

Follow these rules every night

In-game Hotel Safety Rules pamphlet listing Bathroom Monster, Door Knocker, and Window Seeker survival tips

Front desk hands you keys and a Home Safety Rules pamphlet. Phone tips may stack on that card. Treat the pamphlet as the baseline, then use the laptop and peephole to enforce it.

Core loop every night:

  1. Hear a knock or a room noise.
  2. Fix room threats first if something is already inside or outside the window.
  3. Check the hallway camera, then peek the door.
  4. Open only for a normal human guest. Lock visual anomalies.
  5. Sleep only when events are clear, you have a safe roommate, and Sanity is above zero.

Sanity is your mental health bar. Wrong opens, spider blasts, and some events drain it. Hit zero and the night is over.

Never sleep alone. An empty bed wakes the Bathroom Monster. Housing an anomaly and then sleeping is also a bad end. Locking every knock "to be safe" still fails if nobody normal is in the room at sleep time. You need at least one non-anomaly guest before you hit the bed.

Lock these visitors before they get in

When someone knocks, open the laptop CCTV first. The feed shows the visitor's back and the hall around them. Lock right away if you see a knife, wings, a dead body nearby, a see-through body, a doppelganger or dead copy of the guest, spasming limbs, long arms, or a neck craned back at the ceiling.

Then use Peek. Choose Open Door, Lock the Door, or Leave. Leave backs you out so you can recheck cameras without locking in a choice. Twisted heads, swinging arms, and guttural voices are also red flags at the peephole.

Wrong opens drain Sanity and can kill the run. Never house a visual anomaly as a roommate. The same camera-before-open habit shows up in other Roblox anomaly games, including Home Alone anomalies and Animal Hospital anomalies.

Clear room threats before you sleep

Room audio can interrupt the guest queue. Clear threats before you open for more people.

Window Seeker (also called the Window Monster) scratches, knocks, moans, or scuffles outside. Open the curtains and look so it flees. One look resets it, but the threat can come back all night, so keep checking. Ignore it and it can break the window and end the run. Looking may cost a little Sanity, which still beats a game over.

Dark under-bed first-person view after surviving the Door Breaker with Door Held success toast

Door Breaker is a gaunt white figure that rushes the door with a hide prompt. Get under the bed and stay there until it leaves. Cameras can catch it moving room to room with a knife before the break-in starts.

  • Spiders: Ceiling egg-sac spiders show up on early nights. Step out from under them when they chirp or pop so the blast does not chew Sanity. Do not sleep mid-event while they are still active overhead.
  • Shadow Man: Dark figure in a corner. Hold the flashlight on it until it is gone.
  • Vent Ghost: Dishevelled figure drops from the vent and crawls. Stand on the bed until it climbs back into the vent.
  • The Darkness: Hands cover your eyes and drop you into a void. Follow the lights to a doorway that returns you to the room.
  • Room Hider: Figure appears in the room, jumpscares once, then leaves when you look.
  • Hacked laptop: Cameras blocked until you pay $300 Cash to decode them.
  • Knife Killer day: If a knife man appeared at the door that day, turn the lights off before sleep so he cannot enter.

When the room is quiet, confirm one normal guest is still with you. On a Knife Killer day, lights stay off. Sanity must stay above zero. Only then interact with the bed. The guest leaves after the night, so you will need a new safe roommate the next evening. New anomalies can still appear over time, so trust the camera evidence more than memory alone.

FAQ

Q.

What happens if I sleep alone in Keep the Door Locked?

The Bathroom Monster kills you. Always keep at least one normal (non-anomaly) guest in the room before you sleep.

Q.

Should I lock every visitor?

No. Lock visual anomalies, but you still need one normal human guest each night. Locking everyone leaves the bed empty and fails on Bathroom Monster.

Q.

How do I stop the Window Seeker?

Open the curtains and look outside when you hear scratching, knocks, moans, or scuffling. One look resets it, but you may need to check again later the same night.

Q.

Is the cake a trap, and what about a hacked laptop?

The cake trolley is safe: open and eat it for Sanity. If the laptop is hacked, pay $300 Cash to restore the cameras.
