Pets print cash in Build a Base and Steal, even while you are offline. You add them two ways: roll at the Egg Mystery station on your plot, or steal one from someone else's base and get home alive. Join the experience by replayable fun games if search keeps sending you to lookalike steal games.
Both paths feed the same income loop. Pick rolling when you want steady growth, or stealing when you are ready to gamble on a chase.
Roll pets at the Egg Mystery platform on your base
Your home plot has a raised platform with an Egg Mystery hologram above it. Walk up, stand in front of the red button, and press it to spin. The spin itself costs nothing, which is the easy part.
The catch is claiming what lands. When the hologram stops on a pet, you need enough cash in your pocket to buy it. If you are short, the spin still happened, but the pet stays out of reach until you earn more. Keep a cash cushion before you mash the button.
Rarer pets earn more passive income once they sit in your pen. The same platform can also roll building blocks, but pets are the money makers.
| Step | What to do | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Roll | Press the red button at the Egg Mystery platform | The spin is free |
| Claim | Pay cash for the pet the hologram lands on | You only keep pets you can afford |
| Improve odds | Spend on Pet Luck Multiplier upgrades when you can | Better rolls over time |
Rebirth raises long-term luck and gives you more pet slots, but that is a whole separate grind. For now, Pet Luck is the upgrade that directly nudges your rolls toward better pulls.
Steal pets by raiding other players' bases
Stealing skips the random roll and the claim fee. You walk into another player's plot, grab their pet, and sprint back to yours. No cash changes hands, but the owner can chase you down with a bat of their own.
Before you leave home, buy and equip a bat or stronger raid gear from the shop. The gear collection breaks down which weapons and coils actually help on a raid.
Servers hold about six players, so raids stay personal. Win or lose, people remember who took their pet.
- Equip raid gear. A bat is the starter option; stronger gear breaks walls faster.
- Pick a target. Look for a base with a pet you want and weak outer walls.
- Break in and grab the pet. Walk up to a caged pet and pick it up.
- Escape to your plot. The steal only counts once you make it back to your own base.
- Lock your pen. Do not leave your pets wide open while you are off raiding someone else.
Rolling builds your pen steadily. Stealing can jump you ahead, but one bad chase wipes the trip. Mix both, shore up your walls, and the Build a Base and Steal wiki hub has more on base layout and long-term progression.
