Nightmare Catcher is a Mythical material in Blox Fruits, the Roblox action-adventure game where you level up and collect fruits that give your character special abilities. You get it by defeating Reborn Skeletons or Living Zombies at Haunted Castle, an island in the Third Sea. Either enemy can drop it, so you can farm whichever one you prefer.
| Enemy | Level | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Reborn Skeleton | 1,975 | Graveyard on the left side of Haunted Castle |
| Living Zombie | 2,000 | Forest area of Haunted Castle |
Sail to Haunted Castle in the Third Sea
Haunted Castle is in the Third Sea, so your trip starts there. The Third Sea opens up at level 1,500, and Port Town is its starting island. From Port Town, the route runs northwest in two steps:
- Sail to Port Town, the starting island of the Third Sea.
- From the Port Town dock, head northwest to Castle on the Sea. It's a safe area with no level requirement.
- From the Castle on the Sea dock, head northwest again to Haunted Castle, which is listed for players from level 1,975 to 2,075.
Haunted Castle sits northwest of the Castle on the Sea dock, so that's the last leg of the trip.

Farm Reborn Skeletons and Living Zombies at Haunted Castle
Reborn Skeletons are the best place to start. They're in the graveyard on the left side of Haunted Castle, and at level 1,975 they're a little lower than Living Zombies at 2,000. That makes them slightly weaker, so they're the more practical option when you're starting out here.
Living Zombies are in the forest area of the same island. Since both enemies are on Haunted Castle, you can move between the graveyard and the forest without taking a boat trip. Monsters here are around level 1,975 to 2,000, so it's best to come once your level is high enough to take them down quickly. When they're grouped together, gather them up and clear them with area skills.

Drop Chance and Farming Tips for Nightmare Catcher
Nightmare Catcher is a chance drop, not a guaranteed one. Don't expect a set number of kills to get you one, so keep defeating Reborn Skeletons or Living Zombies until one drops.
- Playing in a group: You can split up to clear monsters. Drops are calculated separately for each player, so nobody shares what another player picks up.
- Keeping your extras: Keep any Ectoplasm or Bones you collect while farming. Both are needed for other upgrades and crafting.
What Nightmare Catcher Is Used For in Blox Fruits
Nightmare Catcher is used to upgrade the Pain fruit. These are research upgrades made through the Admin Panel, not Raid awakenings. These are Pain's third and fourth research tiers, so the costs shown cover those tiers rather than the entire upgrade path:
| Pain Fruit Upgrade | Nightmare Catchers | Fragments | Ectoplasm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Torment Conductor | 1 | 6,000 | 5 |
| Spectral Assimilation | 3 | 9,500 | 5 |
Torment Conductor needs one Nightmare Catcher, and Spectral Assimilation needs three. That's four in total to complete both. You make the upgrades through the Admin Panel with the Mysterious Scientist, who's found at Castle on the Sea in the Third Sea.
