The Mimic is a horror game on Roblox set in Japan, with stories drawn from Japanese history and urban legends. Its monsters hunt you through its books and modes. Some chase you until you hide or get away, while others, like Enzukai and the Ringmaster, are beaten in set boss fights. Knowing what each monster responds to, and where you can hide from it, is how you get through.

What Are the Monsters in The Mimic?
The monsters are the creatures that hunt you as you play The Mimic's books and modes. They don't all work the same way. Some roam an area looking for you, like the clown in the Carnival and Nagemi in the Haunted Asylum, while others are bosses you have to defeat in a set fight.
Which Monsters Are in Each Book and Mode?
Sama is the main monster in Control's Book, a monstrous being the hero must face to break a curse on his family. Enzukai is the main antagonist of Jealousy's Book, where the Umibozu, the vengeful spirit of a drowned priest, pulls the hero into another world. Halloween Trials brings Nagemi to the Haunted Asylum, Taiyo to the Jigoku Hotel, and Kabocha's minions to Kabocha's Fields. Nightmare Circus features Ronnie the Clown, who plays tag in the Carnival, and the Ringmaster, who runs a hide-and-seek game in the Ringmaster's Tent before fighting you in the arena.
Can You Fight the Monsters in The Mimic?
Some monsters can be beaten in boss fights. Enzukai is defeated in a boss fight in Jealousy's Book Chapter 4, and the Ringmaster is defeated in his arena fight in Nightmare Circus. Kabocha's minions in Kabocha's Fields can be defeated by throwing potions at them. For Nagemi, Taiyo and the clown, staying out of reach is the approach that works.
How Do Monsters in The Mimic Spot You?
Each monster reacts to you in its own way, so the signs to watch for change from one to the next. The clown in the Carnival starts chasing if he spots you. Nagemi in the Haunted Asylum becomes much faster once it starts chasing, which makes escape difficult, so it helps to move quietly and listen for audio cues that show it is close. Taiyo in the Jigoku Hotel has a wide detection range, and she can disappear and reappear.
How to Hide From and Escape Monsters in The Mimic
Each safe spot depends on the monster and the area, so these tips only apply where they are named. In the Haunted Asylum, the Gramophone Room is a safe zone because Nagemi cannot enter it, and if Nagemi spots you, you can run there.
In the Carnival, you can hide under a carriage, but Ronnie can still reach through the stairs with his hitbox, so keep moving inside. In the opening Tokyo part of Jealousy's Book Chapter 4, the guidance is to sneak past Enzukai. Crouching is not available in Control's Book, so it can't be part of your plan there.
FAQ
How do you beat the Ringmaster in Nightmare Circus?
After you're teleported into the arena, grab a knife. His green bar shows his health and his blue bar shows his stamina. When his stamina runs out, you get a short window to strike.
Which choice gives Jealousy Chapter IV's good ending?
After the boss fight, you choose between killing Enzukai and killing Senzai. Killing Enzukai leads to the good ending of the chapter, and killing Senzai leads to the bad ending.
