All 29 Emotes and How to Buy and Equip Them in The Mimic

Updated on October 30, 2026 (about 14 hours ago)

The Mimic is a horror game on Roblox, and emotes are short animations your character can perform, like walks and dances. Each one is bought in the Shop with Spirits, the game's currency for emotes, and then equipped before you can use it.

What Are Emotes in The Mimic?

Emotes are short animations that make your character perform a walk, a dance or another move when you trigger them. Most players use them for self-expression, picking the ones that suit their own style. Because they're about personal taste, the best emote is simply the one you enjoy using.

Do Emotes Give You an Advantage in The Mimic?

No. Emotes are cosmetic, which means they change how your character looks and moves, but they don't change how the game plays. Using one won't affect what happens in a chapter, so pick emotes for their look rather than expecting any boost.

Where Do Spirits Come From?

Spirits are the currency for emotes, and every emote is bought with them. Emotes are priced in tiers, so what you pay depends on the one you want, and it's worth checking your Spirits balance before you open the Shop. The main way to get Spirits is to buy them with Robux in the Shop. The developer also sometimes hands them out as rewards.

How Do You Buy and Equip Emotes in The Mimic?

Open the Shop from the lobby and go to the Emotes tab. Choose the emote you want and buy it with Spirits. Buying isn't enough on its own, though, because each emote also has to be equipped before you can use it.

You can have up to four emotes equipped at once, so it helps to choose the ones you'll use most. Once an emote is equipped, press B on your keyboard to perform it.

Are Some Emotes Limited?

A few emotes are marked as limited, including Spooky Month, Thriller and Nutcracker Soldier. These emotes are unavailable in the Shop.

FAQ

Q.

Is there a button for emotes other than B?

Yes. An on-screen emote button sits in the top-left corner, so you can trigger an equipped emote without using the keyboard.

Q.

What tabs are in The Mimic's Shop?

The Shop is split into four tabs: In-Game, UGC, Emotes and Spirits. The Emotes tab is the one to open when you want an emote.
