All 110 Island Cards and Recipes in Stacklands

Updated on November 1, 2026 (3 days ago)

Stacklands is a card-based survival game where you stack cards to gather resources, craft new things and keep your villagers fed. The Island update, released in 2022, adds a separate board and a new set of cards, known as Island cards. You reach the Island by boat once you finish the main questline, and the new cards bring fish, Glass, Gold, pirates and snakes into the game. Players can collect and keep track of every Island card in the game.

How to Reach the Island in Stacklands

Once you finish the main questline, you get the idea for a Rowboat, and that's how you reach the Island. The Rowboat carries one card and needs a villager aboard to set sail, so each trip brings over one person. Bigger boats can handle more: the Sloop carries 10 cards and the Frigate carries 25. None of the ships can carry buildings, and every trip needs at least one villager on board, so it pays to plan for the bigger ships early.

Island Packs and Shells: How to Get Island Cards

Island cards come from Island packs, and you buy each pack with Shells instead of coins. You earn Shells by selling cards on the Island, and each pack has its own price and its own mix of cards, so expect to save up for the pricier ones. A Shell Chest keeps your Shells in one place while you save.

Fish and Food on the Island

Soil is very hard to find on the Island, so fishing is the main way to feed your villagers there. A Fishing Spot is water full of fish, and a Fisher is a villager who holds a Fishing Rod. A Fish Trap is built from a Fishing Spot, Stone and Rope, and it needs food as bait. Stone isn't easy to come by on the Island, so Sandstone can stand in for it.

Food spoils over time in the Island's warm climate, so cooking your food is how you keep it longer. Most food spoils eventually, and spoiled food turns into Goop. Food placed on a Mess Hall gets eaten first, so you can put the food closest to spoiling there.

Glass and Gold on the Island

Glass and Gold can't be found on the mainland, so the Island is where you get them. Glass is made in a Smelter from Wood and Sand, and a Gold Bar is made in a Smelter from Wood and Gold Ore. Gold Ore comes from Gold Deposit cards.

Both materials are needed for the Sacred Key, which takes three Gold Bars and three Glass. A rumor card named The Island says Gold and Glass can be found there, so it's a useful hint if you're not sure where to look.

Snakes, Pirates and Other Island Threats

The Island brings snakes and pirates that can poison or stun your villagers. Poison is the one that can kill a villager, so it's worth learning the cure before a snake turns up.

Pirate Boats can be bribed with coins. A Parrot can befriend a single pirate, and a friendly pirate joins your side and works like a villager.

Killing too many crabs summons a Momma Crab, so keep strong fighters nearby or retreat to the mainland. Opening the Sacred Chest releases Tentacles, and defeating all of them brings out the Kraken.

Which Island Cards Matter Most

The Rowboat matters most, since it's how you reach the Island in the first place. The Fisher and Fish Trap come next, because fishing is how you keep villagers fed on an island with little soil. The Parrot is worth grabbing if you'd rather befriend pirates than bribe them with coins.
