In Peglin, a pachinko roguelike, you fire orbs onto a pinball-style board of pegs, and each run builds a new map. In a battle, you pick an enemy and aim your next orb. The more pegs the orb hits on its way, the more damage it deals once it leaves the board, so the goal of each shot is to hit as many pegs as you can. After each shot, the enemies take their turn, starting with the closest one, and they either attack you or move.
Each run builds a new map of fights, minibosses, chests, and question-mark spots, and you move across it by shooting an orb toward the path you want. You earn gold along the way and spend it on new orbs, upgrades, or healing. If your health reaches zero, the run ends and you start over. Each area ends with a boss, and beating one earns you a relic, a rare item that can change how your shots and enemies behave.
Your main goal is to clear three areas, Forest, Castle, and Mines. Beating the final boss in Mines wins the main game, and that unlocks Cruciball, a set of 20 harder levels. Act 4, The Core, is an optional extra you work toward by winning once with each of the four classes: Peglin, Balladin, Roundrel, and Spinventor. Each class starts with its own orb and relic, and Peglin is open from the start while the other three unlock by playing.

Enemies
Peglin's enemies include ordinary foes like slimes, knights, and sappers, tougher minibosses, and a boss at the end of each act. Bosses bring their own tricks, such as minions, pegboards that change mid-fight, and attacks you can learn to read ahead of time. The final act, The Core, ends with one of the toughest fights in the game.
Collectibles
Orbs
Orbs are the attacks in Peglin. You drop each one onto the board, and every peg it hits adds to the damage it deals to enemies. Orbs come in four rarity tiers, from common to special, and each one has its own effect. Most can be upgraded to their top level, and the Egg is the exception.
Relics
Relics are passive items that stay with your goblin until the run ends, changing how orbs, pegs and health behave. They come from chests, minibosses, bosses, shops and events, and they're sorted into common, rare, boss, event and special tiers. Special relics include the starting relic each class begins with and a few that show up in specific shops or situations. Many relics work best with certain orbs or alongside other relics, so the right picks depend on the build you're going for.
Peglin gameplay tips
- Hit a critical peg at any point in the shot, but before the orb leaves the board. A critical peg boosts the whole shot, including pegs the orb hit earlier. The boost ends once the orb is gone, so the timing matters.
- Save bombs for fights with several enemies on screen. A bomb needs two hits: the first lights the fuse, and the second sets it off. The blast hits every enemy on screen, flying ones included, so it's worth the most in a crowded fight.
- Hit a refresh peg once the board starts to run thin. It brings back the regular pegs you have already cleared, so your next shots still have targets. Refresh hits don't add to the orb's damage unless you own the Strange Brew, so the point is an open board, not extra damage.
- Set your target before you fire. Tab and Shift change your target, and clicking an enemy works too. You can only switch while you're lining up a shot, not once the orb is moving, so choose before you release.
- Heal before your health gets low. The run ends the moment your health reaches zero, so topping up while you still have room is safer than waiting.
- Remove weak orbs early at the shop. The price of each removal goes up every time you use one, so cutting a weak orb early costs less than cutting it later.
