You battle with squads of characters in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit, a free mobile game for iPhone and Android based on Hirohiko Araki's manga. It launched on August 13, 2026, outside Japan and Greater China. You collect characters from across the series, from Phantom Blood to Stone Ocean, and put them together into teams.
Most of the game happens in battles. Before a fight, you pick which characters join your squad and place them on a grid, since where each one stands changes what they can do. Once the fight starts, your characters attack on their own while their energy fills, and you fire ultimates, which are big special moves, when they're ready. Ultimates from three characters with different fighting styles, fired close together, set off Rush, which adds 25% damage to your team for 10 seconds.
Moving through the main story earns experience, which raises your Quest Level. Higher Quest Levels lift the level cap on your characters and open new modes. Along the way you recruit new characters, which the game calls Recruitment, and upgrade the ones you already have. Later on, you can take on the Hall of Trials, player vs. player battles, and the World Boss.

Characters
The characters in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit come from all six parts of the JoJo series, and each one brings their own abilities and Stand powers. Every character belongs to one of six fighting styles, from Defense to Support, and that style shapes how they fight. Characters are recruited through random pulls and come in R, SR, and SSR rarities. When three characters of different styles use their Ultimates together, Rush triggers, a short damage boost that rewards a mixed team.
Badges
Badges are gear pieces you equip on characters to raise their stats, and many carry a skill of their own. They come in Rare, Epic and Legendary tiers, and each set's skill works from a single piece and grows with every matching piece, up to four. Rare and Epic badges come from random crafting in the Forge, while Legendary badges also need their set's blueprint plus Refined Iron, Gold Ingot and Rawstone.
World Bosses
World Bosses are powerful enemies in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Spirit, and each one has its own fight in the World Boss mode inside the Hall of Trials. Players unlock the mode by clearing stage N4-10 on Normal, then fight for the highest damage score they can reach. Early on, bosses open one at a time, and in the cross-server phase a different boss comes up each day.
JoJo Golden Spirit gameplay tips
- Build your lineup with three fighting styles. Rush only starts when ultimates from different styles land close together, so a team made of one style can never trigger it.
- Wait until at least three ultimates are ready before you fire. That timing sets up Rush. If you want to control it yourself, turn off auto-battle, because it fires abilities on its own.
- Read each stage's optional goals before you place your team. Some stages ask for characters in certain spots or for marked enemies to be attacked first. Meeting more of the goals earns better rewards.
- Keep Ranged characters a tile or more away from their targets. They gain 5% damage for each tile of distance, so crowding them in gives that bonus away.
- Star up characters you already own. Star-ups use duplicate shards, and raising a character's star rating unlocks more of their abilities.
