Radio Stations
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories uses its vehicle radio for music, talk programming, and bulletins tied to Toni's progress. Named DJs cover pop, opera, reggae, house, jungle, world music, disco, and hip-hop, while LCFR supplies spoken satire. Liberty News can temporarily override the chosen station to report campaign events and visible changes around the city.
Gangs & Factions
Gangs in Liberty City Stories reflect a city in transition, with Family control shifting as Toni rebuilds Leone influence. New crews and returning Families meet in districts that change hands with the story.
Cheats
Cheats in Liberty City Stories use PSP and PS2 button sequences and name codes. Their effects cover weapons, wanted levels, weather, vehicles, and city behavior.
Characters
Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories follows Toni Cipriani's return to Liberty City and his attempt to regain standing with Salvatore Leone. Its cast connects Leone family business to rival criminal organizations, city politics, labor disputes, news media, and everyday residents. Character affiliations and mission spans help place each person within Toni's route through Portland, Staunton Island, and Shoreside Vale.
Vehicles
Liberty City Stories moves Toni across three islands in a mix of sports coupes, work vehicles, service machines, gang cars, and limited aircraft. Traffic, turf, and access conditions decide what spawns where, so knowing the category and island helps you pick the right ride for the job.
Drive-By Missions
Drive-by missions are timed shooting activities activated by mounting special parked bikes and scooters in Liberty City. Toni receives a fixed weapon with infinite ammunition while the challenge tracks targets, remaining time, and vehicle damage. Different start vehicles launch different target sets, and clearing each challenge contributes to 100% completion.
Weapons
Weapons in Liberty City Stories rebuild the Liberty City set for Toni with street melee, pistols, automatic arms, rifles and heavy gear. You move from Ammu-Nation pickups to Phil stock and milestone spawns as Story Mode opens the city.
Multiplayer
Multiplayer in Liberty City Stories treats Liberty City as a set of quick competitive arenas. It experiments with race and objective formats within a small portable session model.
Story Missions
Toni's route begins with a quiet return to Portland and expands through every island as the Leone family, rival gangs, politicians, and media figures pull him into a wider power struggle. The mission table keeps that progression readable without pretending every strand is permanently linear.
Safehouses
Toni's safehouses are checkpoints across his return to Liberty City. One per island keeps saves close to the missions that matter at that stage.
Rampages
Rampages turn ordinary neighborhoods into short, weapon-specific arenas. The location, target, and supplied weapon matter together: a good approach can make the difference between a clean two-minute run and a restart.
Unique Stunt Jumps
LCS's stunt route is a tour of the city's overlooked geometry: docked ships, rail approaches, rooftops, parks, and broken construction spaces. The landing note is as important as the ramp description.
Assets
Assets in Liberty City Stories mix story and ownership. Toni secures businesses on Portland and Staunton Island that keep him connected to districts he already uses for saves and missions.
RC Challenges
Three RC races start from TOYZ vans at the airport, Hepburn Heights and Belleville Park. Level 1 of each race counts toward 100%; RC Triad Take-Down instead requires more than 20 kills in Chinatown.
Miscellaneous Challenges
LCS hides some of its most varied completion work in the miscellaneous category. A single run may ask Toni to ride a dirt course, defend an island, fly a sightseeing route, or survive a television stunt, so the start point and threshold need to stay visible.
Collectibles
Hidden Packages
Hidden Packages are a familiar GTA completion tradition. The set pushes you into corners of the city you might otherwise ignore.
Vehicle Missions
Liberty City Stories adds sub-missions to police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, taxis, and sanitation trucks. Starting the correct vehicle and surviving the timed chain earns permanent upgrades that carry through Story Mode.
Street Races
LCS's street-race route alternates between bikes and cars as the map opens. The six races are short, fixed milestones, but their unlock missions and start points make them easiest to clear in island order.
Car-azy Car Giveaway
The Car-azy Car Giveaway asks Toni to collect specific traffic models for the Love Media garage in Bedford Point. Each delivery checks the exact model at the garage marker, pays condition-scaled cash, and moves the set forward until the bonus vehicles appear.
Liberty City Stories gameplay tips
- Keep a manual save before difficult mission branches and long vehicle challenges.
- Group Hidden Packages, Rampages, and Unique Stunt Jumps by island.
- Asset, vehicle, race, RC, miscellaneous, and Car-azy Car Giveaway routes cover the separate side requirements in the 100% checklist.
