How the roster fits Liberty City
Bridges stay closed early, so Portland traffic is not the same as Staunton or Shoreside Vale traffic. Save before chasing a rare spawn, and bring the target to a garage with space. Garage doors are narrow and aircraft are too large to store, while boats live at docks rather than inside a safehouse.
Gang cars add pressure. Driving a Mafia Sentinel through Saint Mark's early feels normal, but returning there later with Leone hostility makes that same street a shooting gallery. Territory matters more than top speed when you need a clean getaway.
Finding what you need
- Traffic vs parked: Many sedans and vans appear everywhere, while sports cars cluster around Capital Autos, the airport lot, and Cedar Grove. Check the acquisition and spawn notes on each card before driving circles across all three islands.
- Special and unstoreable entries: The Manana corpse, Airtrain, Train vehicle, RC Bandit, and Helicopter entries are gallery entries that help you recognise what Liberty City treats as a vehicle, not garage projects. The same goes for the dead Dodo at the airport.
- Emergency and gang vehicles: Police, Firetruck, Ambulance, Enforcer, Barracks OL, FBI Car, and Rhino follow wanted-level and station rules rather than normal traffic. Gang vehicles stick to their turf, so learn the neighborhood before you borrow one.
Buying, storing, and using vehicles
Claude cannot buy cars. Steal, find, or unlock them, then store within the limits of the current safehouse garage. Large buses, coaches, flatbeds, and emergency trucks are poor fits for tight garages. For Import / Export, treat the export link as a hint to keep a civilian vehicle undamaged until delivery rather than as a full retrieval guide, which lives on the Import / Export page.
Small mistakes that waste time
Do not confuse similar names. A Sentinel and a Mafia Sentinel share a shape but not a spawn, and a Taxi and a Cabbie have different export lists. The BF Injection only appears at Misty's in the evening after Sayonara Salvatore, and the Securicar rarely wanders Chinatown outside the Decoy mission.
World and mission models
The corpse-carrying Manana is drivable mission equipment. Airtrain, the full-winged NPC Dodo and the two helicopter models are world or mission references that Claude cannot pilot; their availability notes make this distinction explicit.
FAQ
Do I need to buy vehicles in GTA III?
No. Claude gets vehicles by stealing or finding them. There is no dealership purchase for this roster; storage depends on the garage at the current safehouse.
Why can I not find a sports car on Portland?
Early bridges restrict which islands you can reach. Many sports cars spawn around Staunton and Shoreside Vale, so check the spawn hint before hunting only on Portland.
What is the difference between Taxi and Cabbie?
They are separate service vehicles with different looks and different Import / Export lists. Use the image and the export link on each card to avoid mixing them.
Are motorcycles in GTA III?
No. GTA III has no rideable motorcycles. The garage and road traffic reflect that, which is why bikes appear only in later Grand Theft Auto titles.
What does the Import / Export tag mean here?
It names the garage or crane that requests the model. The full delivery location, payout, and unlock details live on the Import / Export page.
Can I store aircraft and boats in a garage?
No. Boats stay at docks and the rail-bound or flyable aircraft are not garage vehicles. The gallery keeps them visible as distinct entries.
