Fields of Mistria is a farm sim set in Mistria, a village tucked between a forest and the sea. The town has offered you an overgrown homestead in exchange for your help, since an earthquake has left it in rough shape and strange magic has begun flowing through the land. Helping Mistria recover is the big picture, and the farming, fishing, and friendships you build all tie back to that goal.
Your days are a mix of activities that support one another. You might farm, fish, forage, dive, mine, craft, cook, explore ancient ruins, or stop to chat with villagers along the way. Selling extra crops and finds at the shipping bin brings in money for the town's recovery, while answering resident requests and donating your finds to the museum also count toward Town Renown. Town Renown unlocks town repairs, new facilities, quests, and more of the story.
Routine work also builds skill experience and essence, and essence buys perks that make your activities work better. Relationships, seasonal events, animal care, and farm customization are all there whenever you want them. The long-term goal is a restored town and the story, along with a full cast of villagers to get to know and 12 marriage candidates if you want to start a family. Town Renown can climb all the way to the Mistril rank at level 100.

Villagers
Villagers are the people of Mistria, from romance candidates to the townsfolk and Saturday Vendors who keep the town running. Every one can be talked to and given gifts each day, and their loved and liked gift lists shape how quickly friendship grows. Romance candidates also unlock heart events and romance routes, while the townsfolk and vendors keep the shops, the inn and the market running.
Collectibles
Museum Donations
Museum donations are the items you hand over to Errol at the Museum in The Narrows, one of each item a named set asks for. They come from fishing, bug catching, farming, foraging, digging, diving, and production in Apiaries and Terrariums, and they're sorted into the Archaeology, Fish, Flora and Insects wings. Completing sets unlocks rewards in each wing, and every donation also adds Renown.
Fields of Mistria gameplay tips
Check the request board before you plan your day. Requests can reward you with money, recipes, tools, and items, so a quick look tells you what's worth chasing.
Check the museum markers before you sell. The museum marks the items it accepts and shows what you have already donated. Seasonal collections can be hard to finish once the season changes, so a quick check keeps you from selling something you'll need later.
Work through Stillwell's and Zorel's unlocks at the Saturday Market. Stillwell's unlock gives you Mission Quests from his Mission Board, and Zorel's lets you buy Crystal Resonators and Song Crystals. Both add more to do and more to buy in one spot, which makes the market worth a regular visit.
Follow the Town Repair Questline to the end. It includes the Repair the Bell Tower and Saturday Market Plaza quests. Each repair gradually opens up more of town, so the questline is a good way to track progress in both the town and the story.
Protect the chests you want to keep. Crafting stations can pull materials from your home chests, but you can mark selected storage as protected. Do this for chests holding items you're saving for the museum or for a gift, so a crafting job doesn't use them up.
Visit the inn on Friday nights. The inn is where several villagers gather at once, so it's the quickest way to see a lot of the cast in one place. Watching them talk with each other is a good way to get a feel for who they are.
