Cases are boxes in BloxStrike, a Roblox shooter, that hand out skins: cosmetic looks for weapons, knives and gloves. You spend Credits, the game's in-game currency, to open one, and it gives you a single random skin from the items it holds. Cases are a big part of how players build a collection, so they're worth understanding before you spend any Credits.

How Case Opening Works
Opening a case is straightforward. You pick one from the shop, spend the Credits it costs, and open it. The skin you get goes straight into your inventory, where you can equip it.
The result is random, and it's set the moment you open the case. The case you choose decides what you could get, but you can't pick the exact skin. Two players can open the same case and walk away with completely different results.
What's Inside a Weapon Case
A weapon case holds a small, fixed spread of weapon skins across four tiers: Blue, Purple, Pink and Red. Tiers are the color groups that show how rare a skin is, and each step up is harder to land. Every weapon case also has a rare Special tier, which holds that case's knives or gloves.
The case screen has an Odds view that shows the chance for each tier, so you can see how likely each one is before you spend Credits. Charm Pack #1 works like a case, but it drops weapon charms instead of skins.
Which Cases Matter Most
Gloves come from only two cases, the Glove Case and Glove Case 2. Knife cases don't hold gloves, so those two are the only cases to open for them.
Every other weapon case pairs its skins with its own set of knife types, so the case you open decides which knives you can land. The Skeleton Knife only comes from the Apex Case, and the Stiletto Knife only comes from Lionheart, which has the widest range of knife types. If one particular knife is your goal, save your Credits for the case that holds it instead of spreading them across several.
Cases Rotate in and Out
Cases don't all stay in the shop. Case 1, the launch case, and Winter 2025 have left regular rotation, the set of cases the shop keeps offering. New cases such as Nebula, Viridian, an Anime Case and a Halloween case arrive with updates.
For a player, that makes timing part of the choice. You can't count on a case that has left regular rotation being there when you want it, so if its skins are on your list, know that before you save up Credits.
Trade-Ups, Trading and the Global Marketplace
Cases are the luck-based route, but they aren't the only one. The TRADEUPS update brought trade-ups to the game, and players can also trade with each other or use the Global Marketplace to get a specific skin. That means you aren't limited to whatever a case happens to give you.
How to Get Credits for Cases
Most players earn Credits by playing matches, so saving up for a case takes steady play. Because that takes time, it helps to decide which case you're saving for before you start.
Do Skins Change How You Play?
No. Skins are cosmetic, so they change how your weapons and knives look but not how they perform. A skin doesn't touch a weapon's stats, so two players with the same gun can look different and still play the same. That makes cases a matter of style and collecting rather than an advantage in a fight. Players open them to look distinctive, show off a rare piece or fill out a collection.
What to Expect When Chasing Rare Skins
Chasing knives or gloves is a long game. Each opening stands on its own, so a streak of bad drops doesn't make a good one more likely to come next. Players who want a specific knife should expect to spend a lot of Credits along the way.
Opening cases in batches doesn't improve your odds, but it can make a run of bad luck easier to handle. It also helps to pick one goal and keep your Credits focused on it.
FAQ
Can you trade up skins in BloxStrike?
Yes. Before you trade up or trade a skin away, check its wear, the label that shows how worn it looks. Two skins with the same name can differ in wear, so compare them before you trade.
What happens to a case once it leaves the shop?
You can't count on opening it anymore, so trading and the Global Marketplace are the other ways to get its skins. New cases arrive with updates, so check the shop after each one to see what you can open.
Does the Odds view tell me which skin I'll get?
No. The Odds view shows the chance for each tier, not for each skin inside a tier. It tells you how likely a tier is, but not which skin you'll land.
