Stats describe unenchanted vanilla equipment in the selected edition. Bedrock currently compares verified durability and enchantment compatibility; attack and armor values require separate verification. Attack damage assumes the weapon's normal base attack, before armor, critical hits, enchantments, effects, or special attacks. Java attack speed applies to its cooldown system. Armor points are not a fixed percentage of damage reduction.
How to use this tool
Select two pieces of equipment. The table shows their verified base attributes in the selected edition. Compare equivalent equipment types for the most useful result.
Base attributes and combat
Attack damage includes the normal player base attack plus the item's modifier. Java attack speed describes its cooldown system. Special weapon attacks, critical hits, enchantments, status effects, and target armor can change actual damage. The table avoids treating a base value as guaranteed damage in every fight.
Durability and armor
Durability is the unenchanted item's maximum damage capacity. Unbreaking, Mending, damage already taken, and different use actions affect how long it lasts. Armor points and toughness describe the equipment's attributes; they are not a fixed damage-reduction percentage. The repair-material field lists verified repair ingredients rather than assuming every item repairs with its crafting material. Bedrock compares verified durability and enchantment compatibility. Its combat attributes are not included.
FAQ
Does higher attack damage always mean better combat damage?
No. Attack timing, special attacks, enchantments, effects, and the target can change the result.
Does durability include Unbreaking?
No. It shows the item's base maximum durability.
Why are some cells not applicable?
Different equipment types have different attributes. A missing attack or armor attribute is not a zero-valued equivalent.
