Seeing a second Murder Mystery 2 badge in The Hunt: Roblox 20? It is not the regular 2014 challenge, where you collect 50 coins in MM2 rounds. The secret badge uses a separate route that opens after you complete the event's main progression and unlock Year Infinity.
Once that path is active, you need to find and interact with three displayed items in the Hospital 2014, Office 2014, and Hotel 2014 map variants. The locations below are for the live event, which ends on September 28, 2026, at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT.
What You Need Before Hunting the MM2 Secret Badge
The official event requirement for the secret path is to complete all 20 main quests and unlock Year Infinity. The regular MM2 50-coin badge is a different objective, so do not spend another round collecting coins if the secret badge is the one you want. You do not need a particular role, weapon, currency, or Deathshard in your inventory for the three-item route described here. First make sure the secret path is available in your event progression, then enter the three 2014 maps and interact with each item. You can visit the three maps in any order.
How to Find the Three Secret Items in Murder Mystery 2
There is one interactable in each map. Seeing an item is not enough; use the interaction prompt on every object so the game registers it.
Hospital 2014: Find the Default Knife
In Hospital 2014, look for a room with a colorful bookshelf. Near it is a brown table with a computer and a picture frame. The target is the classic default knife sitting on the chair in front of that table.
Interact with the knife when the prompt appears; that interaction registers the Hospital item.
Office 2014: Find the Deathshard Knife
For the Office item, search the large conference room in Office 2014. The Deathshard godly knife model is displayed inside the watercooler.
Interact with the displayed model to register it. Deathshard's name describes the item you see, not an inventory requirement, so you do not need to own that knife before visiting the map.
Hotel 2014: Find the Default Gun
In Hotel 2014, go downstairs and follow the hallway to its end. Find the desk with a potted plant. The classic default gun is beside the plant on that desk.
Interact with the gun to register the third item. You can start here if Hotel is the first map you reach.
How to Confirm the Murder Mystery 2 Secret Badge Registered
After you interact with all three items, the Secret Badge should be awarded automatically. Check for the badge notification after the third interaction. You do not need to repeat the 50-coin challenge, visit a special reward location, or complete another MM2 objective for the badge itself.
If one of the objects is missing, check that you have completed all 20 main quests, unlocked Year Infinity, and that the event's secret path is active for your progression. These locations belong to the limited Hunt event rather than a permanent Murder Mystery 2 map route.
The badge notification and the event reward claim are separate. Roblox's event guidance says that secret quests award an exclusive virtual item and a fragment, with the associated reward claimed from the Hunt hub. Return there only if the event UI asks you to claim that separate secret-path reward; no extra hub location is needed to register the badge.
