GTA 6 PS5 Limited Edition Controllers: Price and How to Buy

Sony has announced two limited-edition designs of the DualSense, the wireless controller for PlayStation 5, both inspired by Grand Theft Auto VI: a Black version and a White version. Each one has a recommended price of $84.99 in the United States, and both launch starting November 19, 2026, the same day the game does. You can order from PlayStation Direct where it's available, from the PlayStation Store hardware section in Portugal, or from a participating retailer in your region.

GTA 6 Controller Prices by Region: What the Numbers Mean

The prices in the table are Sony's recommended retail prices. They're the amounts Sony suggests for each region, not a promise that every seller will charge exactly that. Retailers set their own prices, so a listing can show a slightly different number, and the recommended price is the best reference point to compare against.

Sony gives one price for each of four currencies: US dollars, British pounds, euros for euro-area markets, and Japanese yen. Only the yen figure is stated as including tax, so don't assume the same applies to the others. Don't compare the numbers across currencies as if they were equal, and don't assume a figure for a country Sony hasn't named. Both editions share the same recommended price in each region, so the choice comes down to design and where you can buy.

Black vs. White: Which Limited Edition Design to Pick

Both controllers share the same core look. Each has a shimmering, color-shifting finish that blends the colors of a Vice City sunset with the glow of neon. Palm tree shapes are molded directly into the controller so you can feel them as well as see them, and both carry official Grand Theft Auto VI branding. In the US, the controller is listed as compatible with PS5, PC, Mac and mobile devices.

What separates the two is the mood. The Black edition takes its style from Vice City's nightlife, while the White edition draws on the city at daybreak, with white sands, pastel skies and a laid-back feel. Pick the one that matches the look you like more, since the price and shared features are the same.

The two editions don't have the same reach, though. In countries where PlayStation Direct is available, the Black edition is sold only through PlayStation Direct, so that's the place to check first if you want it. The White edition is also offered by participating retailers, which gives you more places to look.

When the GTA 6 Limited Edition Controllers Launch

Both controllers launch starting November 19, 2026, the same day Rockstar Games releases Grand Theft Auto VI. Sony notes that exact launch dates and availability can vary by country or region, so check the product page for your area before you plan around the date.

Sony offered pre-orders in limited quantities. It also says that when you order directly from PlayStation, eligible pre-orders get free delivery on launch day. Since both editions are limited, it's worth checking listings early rather than leaving it until launch week.

How to Order the GTA 6 Controllers From PlayStation Direct

PlayStation Direct is Sony's own online store and the main route for both editions where it's available. Sony lists these markets: the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Spain, Italy and Austria. If your country isn't on that list, PlayStation Direct won't be your route.

1. Open PlayStation Direct for your region and go to the Controllers & Remotes page under accessories. You can also use the search bar at the top of the site.
2. Search for the exact product name: "DualSense Wireless Controller – Grand Theft Auto VI Black Limited Edition" or "White Limited Edition."
3. Open the listing and check the edition, region and price shown.
4. Complete your order and review the checkout details for your region.

Use the full product name, because the two listings differ by a single word. Checking the edition and price before you pay helps you avoid buying the wrong color or a price that doesn't match your region.

Where Else to Buy Them Outside PlayStation Direct

Outside PlayStation Direct, your options depend on where you live.

• United States: The White edition is also listed at Walmart, Best Buy, GameStop and Amazon. The Black edition is sold through PlayStation Direct.
• Portugal: Sony directs buyers to the PlayStation Store hardware section at playstation.com/store/hardware.
• Japan and other regions: Look for participating retailers. Sony says the White edition is sold through participating retailers, and the Black edition through select retailers in regions outside PlayStation Direct's list.

Being listed doesn't mean an item is in stock, and stock can change. Open each listing directly, confirm the edition and region, and compare the price with the recommended price for your country before you buy.
