Grow a Garden Skunk Pet Guide: How to Hatch and Use the Skunk

Updated on September 30, 2026 (3 days ago)

The Skunk is not bought directly in Roblox Grow a Garden. You need an Autumn Egg from the Fall Market Part 2 event, then a four-hour hatch for a 35% chance at the Skunk. Once it hatches, equip it in an active pet slot so its Stink Spray passive can trigger on its own.

Make sure you are pursuing the Autumn Egg, not the older Fall Egg. They are separate eggs with different pet pools, and the Autumn Egg route is only available while Fall Market Part 2 is active.

How to Get an Autumn Egg for the Skunk in Grow a Garden

The steady route starts at the Fall Harvest stall opposite the Fall Tree. Interact with the vendor and choose See Activities to view your rotating Fall Activities. The task list can ask for normal garden work such as harvesting or planting crops, feeding pets, and placing sprinklers, along with event actions such as using fall tools or submitting event items. Complete the tasks shown in your own menu to build Fall Energy.

The Fall Market Part 2 reward track can show Autumn Egg rewards at the 250, 350, and 500 Fall Energy tiers. Treat those tiers as reward sources rather than a promise that every milestone gives an egg. When a tier becomes available, use the live Potential Rewards panel and its claim prompt to see what you can receive.

If you want the broader egg-pool breakdown, the Autumn Egg guide covers the event reward route in more detail.

Acorn Chaos Autumn Egg Route

Acorn Chaos is a second way to look for Autumn Eggs without relying only on the activity track. It starts every 30 minutes and lasts for five minutes. During the event, five acorns fall around the map.

Equip a shovel, find a landed acorn, and hit it until it opens. The acorn's reward comes from a random pool, while Silver and Gold Acorns can provide multiple Autumn Eggs. Because the drop is random, open every acorn you can during the five-minute window instead of assuming one specific acorn will contain the egg.

How to Hatch the Autumn Egg in Grow a Garden

After you obtain an Autumn Egg, place it in your garden to start its hatch timer. Leave room for the resulting pet, then wait four hours for the egg to open. The egg has four possible outcomes: Scarf Dog, Skunk, Llama, and Enfield.

The Skunk is a 35% outcome per Autumn Egg. That chance applies to each hatch, so getting another egg gives you another Skunk attempt rather than changing the result of an egg that is already incubating.

  1. Open your pet or egg inventory and select an Autumn Egg.
  2. Place the egg in your garden.
  3. Keep enough pet-inventory room for the hatch and wait four hours.
  4. Check the result. The Skunk is the 35% roll in the Autumn Egg pool.

Grow a Garden Skunk Hatch Chance and Stink Spray

The Skunk's ability is called Stink Spray. It is a passive effect, not a skill with a documented button or target picker. The useful details are:

Skunk detailWhat happens
Hatch chanceAn Autumn Egg has a 35% chance to hatch into a Skunk.
PassiveStink Spray occasionally activates after the Skunk is equipped.
TargetThe Skunk approaches a random player or plant before spraying.
Player effectThe affected player moves faster for a limited time.
Plant effectThe affected plant grows faster for a limited time.

The target and timing are not under your control. Without an exact cooldown, range, or duration to plan around, treat Stink Spray as an occasional bonus rather than a targeted growth tool.

How to Use the Skunk in Grow a Garden

Hatching the Skunk is only half of the process. To make Stink Spray work, equip the pet in an active garden pet slot. A Skunk that is only sitting in your inventory does not use its ability.

After equipping it, you do not need to press a cast button or select a plant. Leave the Skunk active and wait for Stink Spray to trigger automatically. It may choose a player or plant at random, giving that target the temporary movement or growth effect described above.

If you want the Skunk for its passive, keep it equipped while you work in the garden. Its random target and unspecified timing mean it cannot replace a tool for boosting one specific crop, but it can provide the movement or plant-growth bonus whenever the passive activates.
