Your first few minutes in Steal A Pet And Ride It are spent sneaking up on a sleeping boss, grabbing the pet cage it's guarding, and running it back to your base before the boss wakes and chases you. The run matters because you open the cage at your base to find out which pet you got. Some of the pets inside are rare.
Riding a pet makes you move faster. Pets you place in your Barn earn cash over time, and you spend that cash on upgrades for your Barn and treadmill.
Speed is trained on the treadmill, and higher Speed shortens every route, both when you approach a cage and when you escape with one. When you're ready, rebirth for boosts and start over, and your pets stay with you. The second world adds new biomes, including the Moon, Ocean, Crystal, Shadow, Storm and Black Hole, along with new pets, bosses and barn skins.

Steal A Pet And Ride It Gameplay Tips
- Plan your route home before you grab a cage. A safe escape with a basic cage beats a failed attempt at a rare one, so don't chase a rare cage at the cost of getting home.
- Train Speed on the treadmill when bosses keep catching you. Running the same hard route over and over without more Speed wastes your time.
- Join in when a meteor shower starts. Meteor showers bring rare cages, so stay in the game and grab what you can while one is going.
- Keep the lasso and banana peels ready for thieves. The game gives you both for dealing with thieves, so use them instead of trying to outrun every one.
- Play with friends for bonus cash. Playing with friends earns you extra cash, which you can put toward upgrades.
- Join the Snail Riders community for a free Legendary pet. Joining the group is the official way to get it, so skip outside sites that promise free pets.
