Terrain types are the kinds of ground that make up the map in Conquer The World WW2, the Roblox strategy game. Each one decides how the army units in the game, called divisions, can use the land. Some ground blocks divisions completely, while the rest changes how well they defend and how fast they move. Knowing that difference helps you plan routes, attacks, and where to hold your position.

Passable and Impassable Ground
The terrain types split into two groups. Passable ground is land your divisions can enter and cross. Impassable ground is land they can't enter at all, so a division has to stop at its edge.
If impassable ground sits on the way, the route has to bend around it. Before you send divisions anywhere, check the land along the path and trace the full route first, so you don't send an army toward a dead end.
Terrain Defense and Movement Speed
Passable ground affects divisions in two ways. It changes how well they defend while standing on it, and it sets their movement speed, meaning how fast they cross it. Urban ground gives the strongest defense of any passable type, and mountains are strong too, though they are slow to cross.
Plains sit at the other end of that trade-off. They give divisions little protection, but they're the fastest passable ground to move through. Desert and jungle are also quick, and they don't protect much either. Forest and hills sit in the middle, defending better than plains while still letting divisions move fast. Marsh gives a little more protection than plains.
Choosing Where to Attack
When you attack, the ground on the way matters as much as the ground at the target. Fast ground such as plains, forest, or hills gets your divisions to a target sooner, while crossing mountains takes longer.
The ground under the enemy matters just as much. Divisions standing on mountains or urban ground defend better, so an attack into those tiles is the harder fight. It pays to check what the enemy is standing on before you commit.
Choosing Where to Hold a Line
Holding a line flips the goal. You want ground that protects your divisions, and you want the enemy to have trouble getting through. Impassable ground does the second part, since a stretch of it closes off directions an attack can come from and leaves the enemy to find a way around.
The USSR is a clear example. Some of the mountains in the Caucasus are impassable, so if the USSR is willing to pull back from Tbilisi, those mountains give it a defensive position. Spain is ringed by water and mountains, which makes it hard to attack. The Pyrenees on its French border block most crossings except near the coasts.
Where Each Terrain Type Shows Up
Terrain varies a lot from one nation to the next. Plains cover most of the USSR, with forests and hills scattered through it. Germany is flat, apart from a small stretch along its Austrian border that is mostly mountains. Spain mixes every type, with plains and hills standing out most.
Some types are much rarer than others. Marsh is the rarest type, and most nations don't have any at all. Urban ground usually sits inside cities and is very rare as an ordinary tile on a border. Desert and jungle appear only on the World map, and jungle is a little rare even there.
FAQ
What terrain types are there in Conquer The World WW2?
The passable types are plains, forest, hills, mountains, urban, marsh, desert and jungle. The other kind is impassable ground, the only type that stops divisions outright.
Can enemy divisions cross impassable ground?
No. Divisions can't move through it, so enemy armies have to go around, just like yours do. An invader can still get past it with a navy or air power, so impassable ground makes an attack harder without always stopping it.
Which terrain is best to defend on?
Urban ground gives the strongest defense of any passable type, but it's mostly found inside cities and rarely on borders. Outside cities, mountains are among the strongest options, even though they slow your divisions down. For a line you need to hold, that trade is often worth it, especially with impassable ground nearby, since the two together limit where an attack can come from.
