All 29 Brainrots in Catch a Brainrot

Updated on July 11, 2026 (about 20 hours ago)

Brainrots are the creatures you hunt, battle, and catch in Catch a Brainrot. Each one lives in a zone, carries a rarity, and can join your team once you win the fight and land a Rotbox. Think of this like a living dex for the species you can meet in the wild right now, not a permanent end of the map.

Ice Zone Brainrots

Ice Zone unlocks later and swaps in a colder wild set. Upgrade your Rotboxes for the tougher catches and bring a team that can handle the new route instead of relying only on Grass Zone favorites.

How catching actually works

You explore a zone, start a wild battle, and try to knock the target down without fainting your own team. When the fight is yours, you throw a Rotbox. Stronger boxes and a weaker target make the catch feel less like pure luck, so soft control beats raw spam.

Rot Centers in each zone hub sell the boxes you need for that area. If you are bouncing off higher rarities, upgrade the box before you grind the same spawn for an hour. The loop stays the same across zones: explore, battle, catch, rebuild the party.

Rarity and team choices

Common and Uncommon species fill early teams and teach the combat loop. Rare and Epic targets take more work, but they are still wild catches, not shop unlocks. Epic is the highest rarity documented so far, so treat those as priority fills when you finally open a new route.

Abilities are not a fixed kit on each species. Every catch rolls its own moves from the shared ability pool, and those moves scale with level while running on Charge instead of classic PP. Two copies of the same name can feel different in a fight, so judge a catch by both the species and the moves it rolled.

Zone flow

Grass Zone is the early hunting ground after you leave the lab and hub. Learn the charge battle rhythm there, stock Rotboxes, and build a team that can travel. Ice Zone opens later and brings its own set of wild species, so plan a fresh box upgrade and a party that can handle the colder route before you treat it like a casual stroll.

More zones can show up as the map grows. If a name is missing from Grass or Ice, it may live somewhere else on the map, or it may be a starter or special case outside normal wild hunts.

Practical tips

  • Scout by zone first, then filter by rarity when you know what you still need.
  • Bring enough Rotboxes for a full hunt, not one lonely throw after a hard win.
  • Rebuild the team when you enter a new zone instead of forcing early catches into every fight.
  • Do not confuse this game with Steal a Brainrot. Same meme energy, different loop: here you battle and catch, you do not farm a base for passive cash.

FAQ

Q.

How do you catch a Brainrot?

Win the wild battle first, then throw a Rotbox. Stronger boxes and a weakened target improve your odds, so finish the fight cleanly before you spam throws.

Q.

What do rarity tiers mean?

Species fall into Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Epic. Higher rarities usually take more effort to find and secure, and Epic is the top tier documented so far.

Q.

Does every Brainrot have fixed abilities?

No. Abilities are rolled randomly when you catch one, then scale with level. Two of the same species can end up with different move sets.

Q.

Where should you hunt first?

Start in the Grass Zone. It is the early region where you learn combat, buy Rotboxes, and build a team before Ice Zone and any later areas open up.

Q.

Is this the same as Steal a Brainrot?

No. Catch a Brainrot is a battle-and-catch creature game. Steal a Brainrot is a different experience with its own loop, even when some meme names look familiar.

Q.

Will more Brainrots appear later?

Yes. The wild set players meet today is mainly in Grass Zone and Ice Zone. New zones and species can show up as the game expands.
