Catch a Brainrot is an open-world creature collection RPG. You claim a first Brainrot on the Lab path, explore zone hubs and routes (Grass early, Ice later), and walk up to wild Brainrots to start fights. Battles run on Charge and Energy instead of classic PP: free Charge builds Energy, then costlier moves spend it to soften the target. When the fight is won, you throw a Rotbox and hope it sticks.
Rotboxes are the only catch tool, sold at the Rot Center shop in each zone hub for Coins or Robux. Stronger boxes matter as zones climb. Every catch also rolls a random ability set you cannot swap, so two of the same species can fight in very different ways. The long loop is explore, battle, catch, then rebuild the party for the next route.

Abilities:
Abilities are the battle moves on your Brainrots in Catch a Brainrot. Fights use Energy: Charge is free and banks 1 Energy, then you spend that Energy on heals, shields, and stronger attacks. Moves roll onto a Brainrot when you catch it and cannot be swapped, so cost and role decide whether a catch can chip, survive, or finish a fight.
Rotboxes:
Rotboxes are the capture items you throw to catch Brainrots. Buy them from the Rot Center Shop NPC in each zone hub with Coins, Robux, or both, then upgrade as Grass targets give way to Ice. Stronger boxes stick more often after you weaken a fight, and Exclusive Infinity Box is the Robux guarantee when you need a sure catch.
Brainrots:
Brainrots are the wild creatures you battle and catch in Catch a Brainrot. You find them by zone, win the fight, then use a Rotbox to add one to your team. Rarity runs from Common to Epic, and abilities roll randomly on catch, so each recruit can play a little differently.

Catch a Brainrot Gameplay Tips
- Weaken the wild Brainrot in the Charge fight before you throw. Soft targets make Rotboxes stick more often, and your shop stock lasts longer.
- Upgrade Rotboxes when the zone does. Grass early boxes stop being enough as levels climb, so buy the next Rot Center tier before you burn a stack on the same rare spawn.
- Read the moves on every catch. Abilities roll randomly and cannot be swapped, so two of the same species can fight very differently. Keep the loadout that matches how you play.
- Treat Rot Center like your base. Teleport in on the mini-map, restock boxes at the Shop NPC, then head back out instead of walking routes empty-handed.
