Pottery sherds choose the designs on decorated pots. Most come from archaeology, while some are recovered from decorated pots in trial chambers. The collection pairs each design with its source and recovery method.
How to use this collection
Images identify individual sherd designs. Source locations describe possible acquisition, with no guaranteed chance per suspicious block or generated pot.

Find the right source
Read the listed location before searching. Suspicious sand and suspicious gravel have different loot pools depending on where they generated. A sherd associated with one archaeological site is not a guaranteed find at every suspicious block.
Archaeology and existing pots
The method field separates brushing a suspicious block from recovering sherds in a decorated pot. Trial chamber pot designs use a different recovery route from buried archaeology loot. Follow the entry's method rather than treating every sherd as a brush drop.
Plan a decorated pot design
A decorated pot has four sides. Each sherd used in its crafting recipe chooses a side's design. Compare the icons to collect the patterns you want; the collection image identifies the sherd rather than showing every possible finished pot combination.
Check the edition
Java and Bedrock availability and acquisition use their own recorded sources. The selector changes the entry facts while keeping one canonical collection page. The stack limit describes the sherd item, not the finished decorated pot.
FAQ
Does every suspicious block contain a sherd?
No. Its loot pool can include other items, and the possible sherds depend on the site.
Do all sherds come from brushing?
No. Some listed trial chamber designs are recovered from existing decorated pots. Read the method for each entry.
