Bedrock pottery designs come from individual sherd items. The recorded source and method tell you how to recover a design before combining it into a decorated pot.

Distinguish recovery routes
Brushing suspicious sand or gravel is different from recovering sherds in trial-chamber pots. Follow the method for the design you want. A source location describes a possible find and does not establish a guaranteed chance.
Collect the intended pattern
Sherd images identify individual designs rather than every possible pot combination. The stack limit belongs to the sherd item, not the crafted pot. Use Bedrock acquisition rules instead of assuming a Java site or loot relationship applies unchanged.
FAQ
Does the sherd image show the finished pot?
No. It identifies one pattern item. Combining sherds determines the designs used on the finished pot's sides.
