Biomes help describe the environments in a Minecraft world. Their climate, surface rules, mobs and terrain details vary. Choose an edition to inspect its registered definitions, with legacy and technical entries identified separately.
How to use this collection
Climate values are dimensionless game parameters. Natural mobs are possible biome spawn entries. Registered definitions include marked legacy or technical biomes and are not a count of every environment encountered in one new world.

Climate parameters
Temperature and downfall are game parameters. Temperature is not a real-world thermometer reading, and downfall is not the probability of rain. Precipitation also depends on the biome's rules and local conditions. Compare the recorded values without treating them as a weather forecast.
Mobs and terrain details
Natural-mob lists describe the biome's spawn entries. Spawning still depends on rules such as light, space and position. Structure encounters and events can add mobs beyond those lists. Terrain features name decoration or generation entries rather than guaranteeing each feature at every coordinate.
Surface materials
The surface field uses the selected edition's recorded rules. It lists possible materials, rather than one exact vertical layer order for every location. Terrain shape and additional generation rules can change what is visible.
Registered and legacy definitions
The collection includes registered biome definitions. Legacy, variant and technical entries should not be mistaken for separate environments that all appear naturally in a newly generated world. Read the generation note and section before planning a survival search.
Edition coverage
Java and Bedrock names and definitions do not match one for one. Verified equivalent names share an entry, while distinct native definitions remain separate. Empty fields mean a detail is not recorded for that edition. The images show representative environments rather than a seed or a promised structure location.
FAQ
Is downfall the chance of rain?
No. It is a biome climate parameter. The precipitation rules and world conditions also matter.
Will every listed biome generate naturally?
The collection retains registered definitions, including marked legacy and technical entries. Read their generation notes before searching a normal world.
Does a listed mob always spawn there?
No. Its spawn conditions must also be met, and additional encounters can come from structures or events.
