Java biome definitions describe climate, natural spawn entries and terrain decoration. Read the dimension and generation notes before treating a registered biome identity as a destination in a new Survival world.
How to use this collection
Climate values are dimensionless. Biome spawn entries and terrain features describe possible generation, not a seed-specific forecast.

Climate is a game parameter
Temperature is not a real-world thermometer reading. Downfall is also a climate value, rather than a percentage chance of rain. Weather depends on precipitation rules and world conditions as well as the recorded biome parameters.
Plan encounters without guarantees
Natural mobs identify possible biome spawn entries. Light, space and position still affect actual spawning. Terrain features name generation or decoration entries, which do not promise a feature at each coordinate. Registered technical or legacy definitions need their own generation notes.
FAQ
Does a natural spawn entry guarantee that mob nearby?
No. The mob must also satisfy its spawning conditions. Structures and events can introduce additional encounters.
