Java redstone components have different jobs in a circuit. Signal sources, detectors, logic and actuators help narrow the choice before you compare a recorded action or delay.
How to use this collection
Signal and delay values appear only where independently recorded. An empty value does not establish zero output or instantaneous behavior.

Choose the component's role
Buttons and levers supply signals, while dust carries them. Repeaters and comparators affect how circuits pass or compare a signal. A Copper Bulb's remembered state is different from a repeater's selectable delay.
Read inventory interactions
Powering a Hopper stops its item transfers. Droppers and Dispensers perform different actions, so a similar-looking block is not necessarily a substitute. Recorded component facts do not simulate a complete circuit's update order or every interaction between neighboring blocks.
FAQ
Does power make a Hopper transfer items faster?
No. Redstone power stops the Hopper from transferring items.
