Locations are not just backdrop in The Forge. Every area changes what you can mine, what you can fight, which NPCs you can reach, and which secrets or quest steps become available. That means map knowledge turns into progression knowledge very quickly. If you know what a place contains, you know what you can reasonably farm there and whether you are actually ready for it.
The current game now stretches across four main islands, with Stonewake's Cross opening the path, then branching into later regions like Forgotten Kingdom, Frostspire Expanse, and Crimson Sakura Isles. From there, sub-areas and secret locations add another layer: caves, camps, quest rooms, towers, hidden roofs, the Raven Cave, and harder spaces like Volcanic Depths or The Peak all push the game in different directions. Some locations are there for steady farming. Others are progress gates disguised as exploration.
