Which ID should you copy: decal or texture?
One Roblox image can have two linked numbers:
- The Decal asset ID identifies the public Decal page on Roblox.
- The texture ID, also called the image ID, identifies the image stored behind that Decal.
Shindo Life community reports currently point to the texture ID for its face fields. Each card handles that small Roblox number puzzle for you: the copy button uses the linked texture ID, while View on Roblox opens the public Decal asset. Both numbers belong to the same image, but they are not interchangeable here.

How the left and right Face ID fields work
Shindo Life gives you separate fields for the two sides of the face. Paste the same texture ID into both fields for a matching design. You can also paste different IDs to mix two eye styles or create an uneven look. A little symmetry is optional.
Use the image previews to choose the pair before you confirm the change in game. Some uploads include a full face, while others focus mainly on the eyes, marks, or a design for one side. The preview shows the uploaded image, but Shindo Life may crop, layer, or position it differently on your character.
A transparent image can sometimes let the default Shindo face show through. Current community reports suggest that a design with a solid skin-color background may reduce this overlap. The editor can also look different from the character after you enter the game, so check the result in play before replacing it again.
How to use face and eye IDs in Shindo Life
- Open Shindo Life and go to Edit or the character customization screen from the main menu.
- Find the face and Eye Color controls, then select the plus button beside the eye option.
- Choose a design from the previews and copy its Face or Eye ID.
- Paste that number into both face fields for a matched look, or use a different ID in each field.
- Check the price shown by the game and confirm only when you are happy with the pair.
- Enter the game and look at your character from a few angles. The customization preview may layer the default face differently.
Menu labels can move after an update, but the useful clues are the Edit screen, the eye or face option, and the two ID fields. Paste only the digits.
Why a Shindo Life face or eye ID may not work
A preview proves that Roblox can still return the image. It does not guarantee that every Shindo Life server will accept or display it. If a design stays blank or shows the default face, check these common causes:
- The public Decal ID was pasted instead of the texture ID. Use the card's copy button rather than copying the number from the Roblox URL.
- The image was removed or restricted. Roblox or the uploader can change an asset after it has been shared.
- Shindo Life rejected the image. The game can apply its own image rules even when the Roblox preview still loads.
- A digit is missing or extra. Clear the field and paste the number again.
- The default face is covering part of the design. Try a face image with a solid skin-color background, then check the character after entering the game.
- The image has not loaded yet. Rejoin the server or try again later before spending more in-game currency.
