How to use Decal IDs in Bloxburg

  1. Enter Build Mode on your plot and place a picture frame or another item that supports a custom picture.
  2. Leave Build Mode and walk up to the picture.
  3. Select Change Picture or Change Painting, depending on the item.
  4. Paste the copied Picture ID into the image field.
  5. Confirm the change and wait for the picture to load.

You can also choose an image from Bloxburg's built-in decal library. Pasting an ID is useful when you already know the exact poster, sign, painting, or pattern you want.

Which ID should you paste into Bloxburg?

Start with the Image ID, also called the texture ID. This number points directly to the picture and is the recommended value copied from each card. It can give Bloxburg a cleaner route to the image, especially when the public Decal ID looks blurry or does not appear.

The Decal ID is a separate Roblox asset that wraps the same picture. Bloxburg's official help still documents copying an ID from a Roblox Decal page, so a Decal ID can also be accepted. Texture ID is the first choice here, not the only choice Bloxburg understands.

Never guess the texture ID by changing a few digits in the Decal ID. Copy the exact paired number, because Roblox numbering enjoys being close enough to tempt you and different enough to punish guessing.

What can you make with Bloxburg Decal IDs?

Picture and painting IDs work well for framed art, family photos, gallery walls, and room themes. Poster and sign IDs can add shop boards, menus, house rules, labels, or event notices.

Pattern and texture-style pictures are useful for framed panels and custom build details. They do not replace the materials in Bloxburg's paint palette. Treat them as images you place on supported objects, not as a new floor or wall material.

Why a Bloxburg picture may not appear

An image can stay blank if Roblox removed or restricted it, the creator changed its access, or the picture has not finished moderation. You may also have pasted the public Decal ID when the direct texture ID is the better choice for that image.

Copy the number again, try the paired texture ID, and give the picture a moment to load. Rejoining can clear an old image from the game's cache. If the picture is still missing, choose another design instead of repeatedly feeding the frame the same number.

If you cannot see pictures on someone else's plot, open the phone, go to Settings, then Advanced Settings. Check the options for whose assets and plots you can see. Set them to Everyone when you want other players' decals to appear.

How Bloxburg Decal IDs are checked

Each image starts with a Bloxburg-specific community source. Its Roblox name, asset type, linked texture ID, and preview are then checked against Roblox data before it is included. Rows without a resolved texture ID or a usable image preview are left out.

That check confirms that Roblox can identify and return the image. It does not prove that every Bloxburg server or future version will display it. Roblox moderation, image access, and Bloxburg's own rules can change later.

Bloxburg Decal IDs FAQ

Q.

Where do I paste a Decal ID in Bloxburg?

Place a picture frame or another supported picture item in Build Mode, leave Build Mode, and walk up to it. Select Change Picture or Change Painting, paste the ID into the image field, and confirm.

Q.

What is the difference between a Bloxburg Decal ID and a texture ID?

The Decal ID identifies the public Roblox decal. The texture ID, also called the Image ID, identifies the picture stored behind it. The two numbers can show the same design, but they are different asset types.

Q.

Why is the texture ID recommended for Bloxburg?

The texture ID points directly to the image and often avoids blur or loading trouble reported with the public Decal ID. Bloxburg can also accept Decal IDs, so texture ID is the recommended first value rather than a strict requirement.

Q.

Can I use a public Decal ID instead of the texture ID?

Yes, Bloxburg's official help documents copying an ID from a Roblox Decal page. Try the exact texture ID when the Decal ID looks blurry or does not appear.

Q.

Why can I see my pictures but not another player's decals?

Your visibility settings may hide other players' assets or plots. Open the in-game phone, go to Settings and Advanced Settings, then check whose assets and plots you are allowed to see.

Q.

Can I upload my own picture for Bloxburg?

Yes. Upload the image through Roblox, wait for moderation, then copy its Image or Decal ID and paste it into a supported Bloxburg picture item. The image must follow Roblox rules and have suitable access.

Q.

Do pattern and texture IDs replace Bloxburg materials?

No. They are flat pictures for frames, panels, signs, and other supported image objects. Bloxburg's built-in materials still control the actual surface finish of walls, floors, and furniture.

Q.

Can a Bloxburg picture ID stop appearing later?

Yes. Roblox can moderate or restrict an image, its creator can change access, and Bloxburg can change how custom pictures are handled. Try the paired ID or choose another picture if an older one disappears.
