If your Stolen Experiment Vault tracker is stuck at 0/2 or 0/3, the objective can look like five separate map hunts. It is actually split into two Lost Part pickups in Prehistoric and Volcano, plus three Drone Parts from Dr. Scramble Experiment waves. This guide shows where to start the tracker, how to recognize each landmark, and what to do when the final Claim button becomes available.
How to Find the Stolen Experiment Vault in Abyss Ocean
Travel to Abyss Ocean and follow the right-hand rock wall until you find a small opening. Go inside and interact with the bunny NPC named Escaped Experiment. That interaction opens the Stolen Experiment Vault panel and shows two separate counters: Lost Parts 0/2 and Drone Parts 0/3.
Use those counters to tell which part of the route you are working on. The Lost Parts counter is for the two fixed biome pickups, while the Drone Parts counter only advances from parts dropped during the Dr. Scramble event.
Steal An Egg Prehistoric Vault Part Location
Go to the Prehistoric biome and look for the sleeping T-Rex. The first Lost Part is behind the T-Rex's head, in the nearby grass and bush clearing. The Guardian landmark in the same area can help you confirm that you are searching the right spot.
Move around behind the head until the Lost Vault Part pickup prompt appears, then interact with it. Check the tracker afterward so you can confirm that the Lost Parts counter advanced instead of assuming the pickup registered.
Steal An Egg Volcano Vault Part Location
For the second Lost Part, travel to the Volcano biome and find the small volcano near the center. Enter or climb the volcano and search its upper interior and fire area, especially the section near the wall. The pickup is easy to miss if you only circle the outside of the structure.
Look for the same Lost Vault Part interaction prompt in that upper area. Once both biome pickups are collected, the tracker should read Lost Parts 2/2. The exact position is best treated as the small volcano's upper interior and wall-facing fire area rather than a precise coordinate.
How to Get the Three Drone Parts in Steal an Egg
The three Drone Parts are not three more fixed locations. They come from Dr. Scramble Experiment drones that appear during a live event wave, usually around egg or nest areas across the biomes. The event is reported to return roughly every 30 minutes, but use the countdown in your server instead of treating that estimate as an exact timer.
When the wave is active:
- Move toward the egg or nest areas and look for the Dr. Scramble Experiment drones.
- Defeat the drones with melee attacks.
- Collect any Drone Part that drops and check the Drone Parts counter.
- Repeat the process during the same wave or a later one until the counter reaches 3/3.
A defeated drone does not guarantee a part drop, so do not assume that every takedown will advance the tracker. If your counter stays unchanged, continue through the active wave or wait for the next server countdown rather than searching for a numbered Drone Part at a fixed landmark.
What to Check If a Vault Part Does Not Count
If the Vault panel never appears, return to the small opening in the right-hand Abyss Ocean wall and interact with Escaped Experiment inside the cave. The route begins with that interaction, not with the first biome pickup.
If a Lost Part seems to be missing, reopen the panel and check the correct counter. In Prehistoric, search behind the sleeping T-Rex's head; in Volcano, search the upper interior and fire area of the small volcano near the wall. Refresh the panel and perform one fresh-server check if a static pickup is not present before assuming the location has changed.
For Drone Parts, make sure you are reading the separate 0/3 counter and that you collected a dropped part rather than only defeating a drone. The event window and drop behavior can require another wave, so a single unsuccessful takedown does not mean the route is broken.
How to Claim the Scrambler After Collecting All Five Vault Parts
When the tracker shows Lost Parts 2/2 and Drone Parts 3/3, return to the same Abyss Ocean cave and interact with Escaped Experiment again. Reopen the Stolen Experiment Vault panel, confirm both counters are full, and press Claim.
You should see a completion message such as “Vault opened! The Scrambler is unlocked,” and the Scrambler should appear in your inventory or gear slots. Seeing a pickup in the world is not the final step; the two counters and the Claim result are what confirm that the Stolen Experiment Vault route is complete.
