Lineage Piece has two Haki unlocks right now. Observation Haki adds 10 dodges. Armament Haki (also called Buso Haki, and sometimes spelled Bosu) gives +25% damage while it is active. You can own both. Conqueror's Haki is not available yet.
Observation is a quest on Deeproot Jungle (Jungle Island). Armament is a book-and-gems hand-in on Frostborn Island. Busy servers help when you need world-boss kills, so peek at Lineage Piece stats if you want a live player count before you hop in.

Unlock Observation Haki on Deeproot Jungle
Observation Haki comes from the Observation Haki NPC on Deeproot Jungle. Head to the wooden bridge near the center of the island. The NPC stands at one end of that bridge.
The official board lists Level 500+ and 2.5M Yen. Some recent guides and videos say the NPC wants Level 1,500+ instead. Bring the yen either way, and use whatever level the NPC accepts when you talk to them.
- Talk to the Observation Haki NPC on Deeproot Jungle and accept the quest.
- Defeat 40 world bosses anywhere on the map. Any world boss counts. A common farm is the Verdant Hero summon at Legend's Arena: talk to the Boss Summon NPC on the left side of the arena and pay 1 Summon Core + 250 Gems when you want a reliable target.
- Return to the Observation Haki NPC for the torch task.
- Light 5 torches across the world (one per island below). Lighting the fifth torch grants the Observation Haki Book automatically. That book is untradeable and is a one-time quest item.
- Return to the NPC with the book and pay 2.5M Yen to unlock Observation Haki.
Where the five Observation torches are
The torches sit on five different islands across the map:
- Deeproot Jungle: From spawn, cross the wooden bridge ahead. The torch is on a tree trunk on the left side of that bridge.
- Frostborn Island: From spawn, walk toward the Level 601 to 800 quest NPC area. Look across for a single tree behind a street lamp. The torch is on that tree.
- Legend's Arena: Head toward the right corner of the island (near the Saber NPC). Behind the tree there are three pillars. The torch is on the outside of the rightmost pillar.
- Fossil Island: Move toward the Sung Jinwoo boss area, then continue right until you reach the Muzan NPC. The torch is on the tree trunk beside that NPC.
- Scorched Ruins: From spawn, head left to the leftmost tree and light the last torch there.
After the book drops into your inventory, hand in the book plus 2.5M Yen at the same Deeproot Jungle NPC. You walk away with Observation Haki and its 10 dodges.
Unlock Armament Haki on Frostborn Island
Armament Haki activates for a 25% damage increase. Your first color is random. Color is cosmetic only; it does not change the damage buff.
To unlock it, talk to the Buso Haki NPC on Frostborn Island (often listed around levels 601 to 1000). Hand in 1 Haki Book and gems. The official board lists 1,000 gems. Some recent guides show 1,250 gems in the UI, so pay whatever the NPC asks in your session.
How to get a Haki Book
The Armament Haki Book is separate from the Observation Haki Book.
- Drop grind: Any mob or boss has a 0.1% chance to drop a Haki Book. A long kill grind is the free path, even if luck takes its time.
- Merchant: The Merchant NPC in Lineage Town can list a Haki Book for 10,000 Gems when that item is in the rotating shop pool.
- Trading: Some players trade spare books. Use the in-game trade window only.
When you have the book and enough gems, return to the Buso Haki NPC on Frostborn Island and finish the hand-in.
Haki Color Rerolls
Want a different Armament aura color later?
- Chests: Rare chests or higher can drop Haki Color Rerolls.
- Combat: Any mob or boss has a 4% chance to drop a Color Reroll.
- Merchant: The same Lineage Town merchant can sell a Haki Color Reroll for coins when it is in the pool.
Use Color Rerolls from your inventory. They only recolor Armament Haki. They do not buff damage or Observation dodges.
Gems for the Armament hand-in come from bosses, chests, quests, and in-game codes when a code includes gems. If you are still waiting on the book drop, bank gems for the NPC cost first.
