Hydra Serpent is a Secret Brainrot added in Update 67, but getting one takes either a very large cash reserve or a successful theft. The normal route is to watch the central Red Carpet and buy it for $220 billion when it appears. If another player already owns one, you can also try to steal that copy and carry it back to your base.
How to Get Hydra Serpent in Steal a Brainrot
There are two supported ways to obtain Hydra Serpent:
| Route | What you need | How you finish |
|---|---|---|
| Buy it from the Red Carpet | Hydra Serpent must appear, and you need $220 billion | Buy it, then let it travel to your base |
| Steal an existing copy | A server with Hydra Serpent in another player's accessible base | Pick it up and carry it to your own base without being stopped |
The Red Carpet route is easier to plan because its requirement is clear, but it depends on Hydra Serpent appearing while you are ready to pay. The theft route avoids the listed purchase price, but someone must already have the Brainrot and a defender can send it back before you reach home.
Buy Hydra Serpent From the Red Carpet in Steal a Brainrot

The Red Carpet is the central conveyor where Brainrots appear and move through the map. Use this route when you want to obtain a new Hydra Serpent instead of relying on another player to own one.
Get $220 Billion Ready
Hydra Serpent costs $220 billion, so have that amount available before you wait at the Red Carpet. For the Red Carpet route, the practical requirements are that Hydra Serpent appears and that you can pay for it; no separate quest, level, or recipe step is part of the supported purchase path.
Watch the Central Conveyor for Hydra Serpent
Stay near the central Red Carpet and watch for the three-headed, crowned serpent or its Hydra Serpent name. No reliable Hydra-specific spawn chance or wait time is established, so do not plan around an exact timer or promised number of attempts. Respond when the Brainrot actually appears instead.
When Hydra Serpent reaches a purchasable position, use the in-game purchase interaction while you have the full $220 billion ready. Having the cash does not create a spawn, so you may need to keep watching the conveyor.
Purchase It and Let It Reach Your Base
After you buy Hydra Serpent, it changes direction and travels toward the buyer's base. Let it complete that trip rather than treating the purchase prompt as the end of the process. Once the Brainrot reaches your base, it can begin producing its listed passive income there.
Steal Hydra Serpent From Another Player in Steal a Brainrot

The alternate route only works when a player already has Hydra Serpent in the server. You need a base you can enter through a legitimate access window, then you must complete the entire carry-back before the owner or another defender stops you.
- Find an existing Hydra Serpent. Look for a server where another player's base actually contains the Brainrot. If nobody has a Hydra Serpent available to target, this route cannot create one for you.
- Enter when the base is accessible. Wait for a legitimate opening or access window. Do not rely on an exploit or an unverified base-opening rule.
- Pick up the Brainrot and start carrying it home. Use the pickup prompt or action shown by the game instead of depending on a keyboard shortcut that may not apply.
- Avoid defender hits on the way back. The owner or another defender can hit the carrier, which can return the stolen Brainrot to its original slot.
- Reach your base with it. The theft is successful when the Brainrot makes it to your base, so the dangerous part is the trip between the target base and your own.
This is a riskier alternative to saving for the Red Carpet purchase. It also has a stricter starting condition: an existing Hydra Serpent must be placed in an accessible base before you can attempt the theft.
Hydra Serpent Cost, Rarity, Income, and Update 67

These are the key numbers to keep in mind before you commit to the purchase route:
| Detail | Hydra Serpent |
|---|---|
| Rarity | Secret |
| Red Carpet cost | $220 billion |
| Base income | $220 million per second |
| Added in | Update 67 |
At the listed base rate, the simple price-to-income math is $220 billion divided by $220 million per second, or 1,000 seconds (16 minutes 40 seconds). That is only a rough base-value comparison before mutations, traits, rebirth effects, or other modifiers change the result.
The Limited Update 67 Craft Machine Route
One Update 67 report also described a limited Craft Machine route capped at 250 copies, plus a small event-code distribution. Treat that as historical or conditional context, not as a dependable current route: its live availability after the special rollout is not established.
If the Craft Machine visibly lists Hydra Serpent in your game, follow the recipe shown there. Otherwise, plan around the Red Carpet purchase or look for an existing copy that can be stolen through the normal base mechanic.
For the straightforward plan, save toward $220 billion and watch the central Red Carpet. If another player already has Hydra Serpent, a legitimate base opening gives you a second option, but you still need to survive the carry back to your own base.
