Start in the first available area, using House or The House if it is shown. Follow the Collect prompt, carry the leaves to the sell point, and open the Journal before spending your first Cash. The cleanup is timed, so fix the slowdown you can see, finish one zone to 100%, and use the next live prompt to keep moving. Prices and area names can change after updates, so trust the UI in your server.
Collect leaves, sell your bag, and read the Journal
If House or The House is shown, use it to learn the basic loop. On PC, use WASD to move, Spacebar to jump, and the Left Mouse Button to collect. On mobile, follow the on-screen Collect prompt.
Leaves go into your bag. When the counter is full or close to full, return to the garbage can or marked sell point and interact to turn the haul into Cash. Carrying a full bag around only gives your feet extra work.
In a recent build, the starting UI shows a 25-leaf bag and $0.01 per leaf. Treat both as build-sensitive examples, and use the live bag counter and sale message after an update.

After your first sale, open the Journal or Upgrades menu. Check the Hand, Rake, and Leaf Blower sections, along with any objective text. If it sends you to the basketball objective, the three-swish quest steps explain that task so you can return to leaf cleanup.
Buy the upgrade that fixes your biggest slowdown
Do not spend Cash just because a button is glowing. First notice what slowed down your last short sweep. The Hand section can show labels such as Hold, Dexterity, and Grasp, so read the live description before choosing.

- Pickup handling: Choose a Hand upgrade when collecting individual leaves is taking too long.
- Bag capacity: Choose a capacity upgrade when sell trips keep interrupting cleanup.
- Tool coverage: Choose a Rake or Leaf Blower when a pile is too wide for hand pickup or a new area asks for a tool.
Buy one change. Equip any tool it unlocks, then test it in the same type of area. A tool purchase cannot change the sweep until you equip it. Use the live Cash cost in your Journal or shop because upgrade prices can move between updates.
Clear one zone fully before following the next unlock
Work in one open, bounded zone and finish it before crossing the map. Watch the progress meter as you sweep. If it is below 100%, at least one leaf is still waiting somewhere, probably in a corner with excellent hiding skills.
Make a slow final pass along walls, fences, corners, behind props, object edges, raised spots, and newly opened sections. Check the progress display again before leaving or buying another upgrade.
House or The House is the useful first-map context, while Mansion is a later map context in current builds. If your game shows another area or a different order, follow its unlock prompt instead of using a fixed route. Up to 12 players can share a server, so split the zone into lanes with friends rather than chasing the same pile.
Equip tools and follow the unlock prompts
When a tool or vent objective appears, equip the required tool before moving leaves. A Leaf Blower pushes loose leaves towards the marked vent, while a Rake gives more controlled movement in a tight patch. Follow the instruction on screen because the target can depend on the area.

Reaching 100% and chasing the SECRET ENDING are separate from the Leaf Collection goal. Clear the ordinary leaves first, then hunt special leaves only if you also want the collection badge.
Keep the first session simple: collect, sell, check the Journal, fix one bottleneck, equip the tool, and clear the open zone. Once the meter reaches 100%, follow the live unlock prompt instead of relying on a fixed area order.
