The Blade Ball portal is tied to the 2023 area, so if that section is locked, work through the earlier years and claim their hub rewards until the 2023 stage opens. Once the 2023 area is available, complete its hub objective before trying to enter the official Blade Ball experience. The route is easier to track if you treat the hub task, the Blade Ball mission, and the final hub reward as three separate checkpoints.
How to Complete the 2023 Hub Laser Task
The 2023 objective starts with Chunchbunch near the area's spawn point. You do not need coins, a special Blade Ball loadout, or another resource for this part.
- Speak with Chunchbunch and accept the laser gun.
- Aim above and around the 2023 area's platforms. Shoot each glowing red orb floating above or behind the structures.
- Keep scanning the upper parts of the area until the counter reaches 8/8.
- Return to Chunchbunch and speak with the NPC again to close the task.
The Blade Ball portal should become usable after the 8/8 objective is complete and you have returned to Chunchbunch. If the portal is still unavailable, check the counter first rather than heading into a normal Blade Ball round.
How to Collect 3 Tix from Knights in Blade Ball
Enter Blade Ball and open the Serpent Breakout event missions. Select the Roblox 20th Anniversary mission named Collect 3 Tix from Knights. That counter is the progress check you need, not your normal match-win total.
- Join an active round and wait for the special event Knight to appear. The Knight does not use a normal player username, which helps separate it from the other players in the arena.
- Play through the encounter, reach or defeat the Knight as the round allows, and collect the Tix it drops or provides.
- Check the mission counter after the pickup. It should increase by one before you move on to another round.
- Repeat until the mission reads 3/3.
Plan on at least three rounds: the event normally gives you one Knight/Tix opportunity per round, and a missed pickup or failed registration can require another round. A normal match win is not required, and coins, sword skins, or a paid ability do not replace the three event Tix. An existing defensive or movement ability may make survival more comfortable, but it is optional.
Focus on the event Knight and the Tix pickup rather than looking for three permanent map locations. If you are eliminated or the counter does not change, use the next active round and verify the number again after collecting the event drop.
How to Claim The Last Deflection After the Blade Ball Quest
When the Serpent Breakout mission reaches 3/3, return to its mission menu and press the mission's Claim action. Wait for the Blade Ball-side reward or completion state to register before leaving. Collecting the third Tix alone does not finish the whole reward handoff.
Next, return to The Hunt: Roblox 20 hub on the same account. Go back to the 2023 reward point or pedestal and interact with it to claim the reward associated with Blade Ball: The Last Deflection, a Roblox avatar back accessory. After the hub claim registers, check the avatar customization menu if you want to equip it.

Return to the 2023 area and confirm that the orb counter says 8/8. Then speak with Chunchbunch again. If the 2023 area itself is locked, finish the earlier hub years and claim their rewards before trying the Blade Ball route.
The Tix counter does not increase
Make sure you collected the drop from the special event Knight, not a normal round reward or a random item on the arena floor. Check the Roblox 20th Anniversary mission after the pickup, since the counter is the clearest confirmation that the Tix registered. The Knight opportunity normally appears once per round, so try another active round if the number stays unchanged.
The mission says 3/3 but the reward is not complete
Reopen the Serpent Breakout missions and press Claim on the completed Roblox 20th Anniversary entry. Then return to The Hunt hub and interact with the 2023 reward point. The avatar item is tied to that second hub-side interaction, so it may not appear automatically after the Blade Ball counter fills.

If the 2023 preview shows a different item, don't rely on the picture alone. Confirm that the Blade Ball mission was claimed, then follow the 2023 claim and progression state; the Blade Ball reward for this route is The Last Deflection.
