Flight changes the fight in AION 2. Pick Elyos or Asmodian, choose one of the eight Global classes, then follow the story across Atreia over land, through the air and under the sea. Skills, Stigma and Daevanion boards decide how your Daeva handles each new challenge.
Game data is the Global client 2.0.6.0 hotfix 1 snapshot from October 9, 2026 (Steam build 25800038). Patches from October 13 and October 20 came after it, so their changes carry their own dates.

Game data
Classes
AION 2 classes set your main weapon and the job you do in a party. Choose by the role your group needs and the range you like fighting from, then shape the build through class skills, Stigma and Daevanion boards.
Skills
AION 2 class skills decide how each class attacks, heals or controls a fight. Compare learn level, MP cost, cooldown and effect, then choose the Stigmas that fit how you fight.
Nightmare Bosses
Nightmare is AION 2's solo boss ladder. Season 1 covers seven Layer I bosses, each with ten challenge levels, and every clear pays Phantasmal Fragments. Check the unlock chain and item-level ladder before you spend attempts.
Longswords
Longswords are Templar swords you can equip from level 1 up to level 45. Attack and the level you can equip at set them apart, and Elyos and Asmodian versions each have their own item ID.
Daggers
Daggers are the Assassin's weapon in AION 2, and every dagger here is for Assassins. Check the required level before the item level, then the faction and trade rule before you craft, trade or upgrade. The stats reflect the Global client as of October 9, 2026.
Maces
Cleric maces run from the Worn Mace at item level 1 to Ludra's Fatal Mace at item level 102. Compare required level, item level, fixed stats, faction and trade rule before you spend materials or time on one. The data is from the Global client 2.0.6.0 hotfix 1, read October 9, 2026.
Spellbooks
Spellbooks are the Sorcerer weapon line, from Common to Unique. Compare the required level, item level, Attack range and trade label by item ID before you swap one in.
Orbs
Orbs are the Spiritmaster's weapon. Item level ranks each one, but required level decides when your character can equip it, so check that first, then compare attack, faction and trade status.
Shields
Shields are the Guard gear Templars equip in AION 2, and each card lists the required level, item level, fixed attack, faction and trade rule. The numbers come from the Global client, version 2.0.6.0 hotfix 1, dated October 9, 2026.
Helms
Helms are the head armor that adds Defense and HP. Item level and required level don't climb together: a Pilgrim Helm is wearable at level 1, while the Splendent Dragon Lord helms need level 45 for item level 102. Compare the Faction and Trade fields before you choose one.
Chest Armor
Chest armor is one of the main gear slots, and its pieces run from early leveling gear up to the Dragon Lord breastplates that need level 45.
Leg Armor
Leg armor steps up at a few required levels, from the level 1 starter pieces to the Dragon Lord line at 45. Each card shows the item level, faction and trade status, plus the source where one is listed, so you can compare copies before you farm one.
Gloves
Required level tells you when a pair is wearable, and item level tells you how strong it is for its stage. Each pair lists base Defense and HP, faction and trade label, so you can check the exact item before you swap.
Shoes
Shoes add Defense and HP, and a pair's required level can sit far below its item level. Check faction, trade status and the exact item ID before you pick an upgrade.
Cloaks
Cloaks add base Defense and HP, and the required level tells you when you can wear each one. Compare cloaks at the same required level, then check faction and trade before you swap.
Necklaces
Each AION 2 necklace has a fixed base Attack and Defense set by its item level, plus a required level that decides when you can wear it. Matching-name copies can have different Trade values, so check the exact item ID before planning a sale. For binding or storage rules, check the in-game tooltip.
Earrings
Every AION 2 earring has its own item level, required level, Attack and Defense, faction and trade label. Quest rewards give level 1 pieces from Common up to Epic, while the strongest Unique pieces need level 45. Check the exact item ID before you plan around a name, since one name can come in two versions.
Rings
AION 2 rings give a Daeva a fixed Attack and Defense pair, and required level decides when each one fits. Grade, faction and trade rule narrow the list, and the item ID tells apart rings that share a name.
Small Accessories
Bracelets add Attack and Defense, amulets lead with weapon or PvP damage, and belts add HP Potion Recovery, with Defense from the Epic grade up. Check required level and the Trade label before you commit, because the same name can show up in more than one grade.
Crafting Materials
Crafting materials are the inputs AION 2 recipes call for, from the Common Refining Stone up to the Heroic and Unique Draconic and Wrathful materials. Match the exact item ID before you farm, since bound copies can carry a different grade.
Gathering Materials
Ore, logs, gems, herbs and food ingredients feed different crafts in AION 2. The roster sorts each material by grade, with the level it needs, its faction label and the regions its card shows. The data is from the Global client as read on October 9, 2026.
AION 2 gameplay tips
- Pick your class by role and weapon. Every class starts with the same base stats, so gear, skills and Daevanion boards are what set one build apart from another.
- Don't plan every skill at once. A character has 61 skill points by level 20 and 203 by level 45 in the October 9 snapshot, so start with the skills you'll use in every fight and add the rest as points come in.
- Practice flight before a boss fight. Flight is part of combat, so get the controls automatic before you need them under pressure.
- Clear Nightmare stages in order. Each stage opens only after you clear the one before it, so there's no skipping ahead to a harder boss.
- Run Exploration before Conquest in Expeditions. Exploration is the practice version with its patterns heavily softened, so you learn each fight before Conquest asks more of you.
- Queue without a set group. Global matches parties across servers and factions in your region, and the 'my faction only' option keeps matches on your side.
Leveling to 45
The level cap is 45 in the October 9 snapshot. Getting from level 1 to 45 takes 754,816,909 EXP, and levels 40 to 44 make up about 70% of that total, so the last stretch is the longest one.
Early on, put story quests first. Main, episode, regional and ascension quests are the ones to prioritize. Each faction's quest path is different, so follow your own faction's route rather than someone else's.
Running totals, cumulative in the October 9 snapshot:
| Level | Skill points | Stigma points | Stigma slots | Daevanion points |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 | 16 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
| 20 | 61 | 0 | 0 | 36 |
| 30 | 111 | 8 | 2 | 76 |
| 40 | 171 | 19 | 4 | 116 |
| 45 | 203 | 29 | 4 | 136 |
Stigma slots open at levels 22, 27, 32 and 37. Check your loadout each time one opens, so a new slot doesn't sit empty. If a story quest needs more EXP than you have, dungeons and repeatable content close the gap. Expeditions start in Exploration mode while you level, and once you reach 45, the Conquest tiers open at item levels 700, 1,400 and 2,100.
Gear: item level and enhancing
Every piece has two numbers. Needs level is the character level where you can wear it. Item level ranks the piece against everything else. They don't always match: in the October 9 snapshot, the Spiritforged Longsword has item level 45 but needs level 1, so a strong early piece can be worn from the start.
Item level often decides what you can enter. A higher number unlocks content, but it doesn't automatically make every stat combination better, so compare the full piece's stats for your role before you upgrade. The October 20 patch sets an item level of 2,600 to enter Krao Cave and Draupnir in Hard mode.
Each enhance level adds 1 to the piece's item level. Wear the highest item-level piece in each slot, enhance it and fill your Arcana slots, since Arcana adds to item level too.
Check transfer and binding rules before you move or remove gear, since some investments can't be recovered. In the snapshot, only Unique gear can take part in Gear Transfer.
Crafting, materials and gathering
Five professions make most of the gear and consumables. Blacksmithing covers melee weapons and guards, Armorsmithing covers armor, Handicrafting covers ranged weapons and accessories, Alchemy covers spellbooks, orbs, potions, scrolls and manastones, and Cooking covers food and buffs. The snapshot counts 512 recipes across the five, and Armorsmithing has the most at 144.
Crafting levels run from 1 to 100. Novice covers 1 to 50, and a promotion quest opens the Professional rank for 51 to 100.
Watch the gauges. A craft runs a success gauge against a failure gauge, and whichever fills first decides the result. A failed craft uses up its materials, and getting hit mid-craft fails it automatically. Even high-skill crafts can fail, and the gap between your proficiency and the recipe's level sets the success chance. A successful craft can also trigger a combo that turns the result into a higher-rarity Splendent version.
Gathering feeds all of this, and the snapshot lists 120 gathering nodes. The October 13 patch added a limit on listing gathered materials for sale on the Market, based on gameplay history. The October 20 patch adjusts that rule, so some restricted players can trade normally while others stay restricted.
October 2026 Global patch notes
October 13 (PDT), October 14 in Europe: Sorcerer's Fire Wall and Cold Storm now apply their bonus damage in combat when the target is at a different elevation, and another player's stronger Frostbite effect no longer removes yours. Spiritmaster's Ancient Spirit summons at level 15 or below now activate their skills. Bittercold Wind's Frost Cooldown Reduction works in combat when there's an elevation difference. A Halloween event runs until the November 3 maintenance (PST), and the maximum accumulated Abyss entry time is now 7 hours.
October 20 (PDT), October 21 in Europe: Krao Cave and Draupnir get an Expedition Hard mode. It needs item level 2,600 to enter, the boss Frenzy timer is four minutes, and each player gets three revives. Hard mode has new rewards, including Ariel Fragments and a Philosopher's Stone: Revelation that can be picked as a guaranteed reward, and all Unique crafting materials can be obtained there. The new Ariel Daevanion board earns points from Ariel Fragments morphed through Substance Morph, and those Fragments also convert into Enhance Stones. Chanter's Spinning Strike gets a display fix, Sorcerer's Cold Storm gets fixes to its Frostbite effect, and Fire Wall stops dealing extra damage to targets without Embers. The gathered material listing rule is adjusted as described above.
