What Each Gathering Material Feeds

Ore goes into metal weapons and armor. Logs are for wooden weapons, including bows and staffs. Gems are the accessory material, herbs go into Alchemy potions, and the food ingredients are for cooking. Odyle is the odd one out: it adds energy to gear and feeds Crafting and Substance Morph. It's also the material you gather from the air, and staying airborne uses Wing Energy while you do.

How the Grades Step Up

Ore, logs, gems and Odyle each come in four grades, from Common up to Unique. On those four families, the prefixes Fine, Pure and Radiant mark the Rare, Epic and Unique rows, so the name tells you the grade before you read the card. Herbs only come in Common and Rare, and every food ingredient is Common.

Each grade needs a higher character level than the one below it. The Required level chip on each card has the exact number, so check it before you plan a craft.

Faction Labels and Regions Answer Different Questions

The faction label shows which side each version is listed under: Elyos, Asmodian or Both factions. Each Elyos or Asmodian version has its own item ID, so the label stays with its row.

Regions shown is a separate field. It lists the place names from each card's gathering entries, such as Verteron or Altgard, and it's a preview. Some cards list only part of their places, so treat the names as a starting point rather than a full route.

October Market Changes

The Market changed twice in October. The October 13 Global patch added a gameplay-history check for listing gathered materials. The October 20 patch let some restricted accounts list normally while others stayed restricted. The rule applies to accounts, not items, so it doesn't change any material's own trade rules.

Values use the Global client 2.0.6.0 hotfix 1 snapshot (Steam build 25800038), read October 9, 2026. The October 20 patch's Hard-mode rewards aren't in this roster.

FAQ

Are bound materials the same as regular ones?

They're separate item IDs with the same grade, required level and main use as the regular version. Their Gathering source and Regions shown fields are blank because the data doesn't list them for bound rows. A blank field doesn't say whether a bound material can be gathered.

What does Required level mean for a gathering material?

It's the character level on the item card.

Can I list a gathered material on the Market?

It depends on your account, not the material. Some accounts can list gathered materials after the October 20 change, and others still can't. Check your own listing access in the Market before you plan a sale.
