Letter Scraps are torn confession pieces hidden across Los Santos and Blaine County. The set is part of Story Mode, available to any protagonist after the early missions, and it closes with a Franklin investigation once the whole letter can be read.

All scraps become available after Repossession, and Franklin can use Chop to sniff out nearby pieces. The sections follow a south-to-north sweep: airport and port, city centre and eastern districts, western Vinewood, the desert and Grand Senora, then the northern coast and Mount Chiliad. Most scraps are ground level, but the Mile High Club crane, Vinewood Sign, high canyon cliff and island cove need a climb or water access. Each scrap counts toward Story Mode 100% completion, and finding the last one reconstructs Leonora Johnson's confession and opens A Starlet in Vinewood for Franklin.
