Your phone is sitting at the bottom of the lake, and the fix is pure stubbornness: empty the water with a bucket. In a run you fill the bucket by clicking the lake, warp to the drain when it is full, pour for Tokens, then spend those Tokens on skill tree upgrades so the next trip goes a little faster.
Keep that loop going and the water level falls through deeper checkpoints until you can grab the phone. Tokens and in-run upgrades reset when a run ends, while Gems and better lobby buckets carry into the next match.

Buckets:
Buckets are the scooping tool you equip in the Drain the Lake lobby before every run. Shop buckets cost Gems, wheel buckets need spin luck, Ancient unlocks free after badges and the creator group, and a few Mythic options use Robux or limited sales. Each bucket's passive changes fill speed, capacity, Token earnings, or cash-out tricks, so equip choice shapes how fast you scoop and how much you bank that run.

Drain the Lake Gameplay Tips
- Build the drain rhythm. Fill on the water, press F while you are still in the lake to warp to the drain, pour for Tokens, buy an upgrade, then head back for another load.
- Keep your cursor on the water when you fill. The fill range is longer than it looks, which helps when a shark or lava makes standing in the deep a bad idea.
- Spend early Tokens on the Character path, especially movement speed. Faster trips bank upgrades sooner, then you can lean into capacity and fill rate once you are moving well.
- Equip your best bucket in the lobby before you start a match. You cannot swap tools mid-run, so Gems spent on a stronger bucket pay off every match after.
