BLEACH: Soul Resonance is a mobile action RPG based on Tite Kubo's BLEACH. Its Characters are the fighters from the series, from Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends to Gotei 13 captains and the Espada, that you collect through summons and bring into battle. You fight with a party of three and can switch between them mid-battle, so a team works best when every member has a clear job and a damage type that suits the enemy.

Assault, Tactic and Support Roles Explained
Every Character has a role that shows what it does in a fight. Assault Characters are the damage dealers, the ones who hit hardest and carry most of your team's damage. Tactic Characters focus on crowd control and debuffs, and some can trigger a battlefield skill that buffs the whole team once certain conditions are met. Support Characters heal and buff their allies, which keeps the damage dealers standing long enough to finish the fight.
A party of three works best with one Character from each role. That gives you damage, control and healing covered at the same time. Because you can swap Characters mid-battle, having all three roles also means you can bring in the right one when the fight changes.
Damage Types and Type Advantages
Each Character has one of five damage types: Slash, Thrust, Spirit, Strike or Finesse. Slash, Thrust and Spirit form a loop, with Slash beating Thrust, Thrust beating Spirit, and Spirit beating Slash. Hitting an enemy with the type that beats it deals extra damage, so it's worth checking the enemy's type before you choose who to bring. Strike sits outside that loop, so it has no advantage or weakness against the others.
Finesse is the fifth type, and Bambietta Basterbine and Uryu Ishida - Vollstandig are the Characters that use it. Characters that share a damage type can also set off team bonuses, so it helps to build your team around one or two types instead of mixing all five.
How to Build a Team by Role and Damage Type
Start with roles, then match damage types. One Assault, one Tactic and one Support give you a balanced base, and then you can pick Characters whose types line up with each other and with the enemies you face.
A Slash team could be Ichigo Kurosaki - Bankai as the Assault, Byakuya Kuchiki as the Tactic and Kisuke Urahara as the Support. All three share Slash, so the team gets the shared-type bonus while each member covers a different job. For a Spirit team, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Sosuke Aizen and Orihime Inoue fill the same three roles.
When the enemies you face are mostly one type, bring the type that beats it. Use Slash against mostly Thrust enemies, Thrust against mostly Spirit enemies, and Spirit against mostly Slash enemies. If you already own a Character you like, start with its role and type, then fill the other two roles with matching types.
How Summons and Rarity Work
Characters come from summons, a random pull system often called gacha. Summons are split into banners. A permanent banner stays open at all times, while limited banners feature specific Characters for a set period, and some of the strongest picks tend to appear there. Each pull uses a summon ticket or Spiritual Jade, the premium currency, so it pays to plan which banner you spend on.
Characters come in three rarities. SSR is the top tier and the hardest to pull, SR+ sits between SSR and SR, and SR is the lowest. Limited banners use a pity system, so you're guaranteed the banner's SSR within 80 pulls.
FAQ
Which Characters are free in BLEACH: Soul Resonance?
Ichigo Kurosaki - Initial is the Character you start the game with, and he's an Assault with Slash damage. Yasutora Sado (Chad) comes from the tutorial summon and uses Strike, while Ururu Tsumugiya is a story reward and uses Spirit. The SR+ Characters Grimmjow Jaegerjaques and Ulquiorra Cifer also come free, through an event reward and through login and Battle Pass rewards.
Where do I get Orihime Inoue?
Orihime Inoue comes from the permanent banner, so you can pull for her any time. Her healing keeps allies alive longer, which makes her a useful pick if your team struggles to stay on its feet.
Is an SSR always better than an SR?
No. An SR that fills a missing role or matches your team's damage type can do more for your team than an SSR that doubles up on a role you already have.
Do duplicate Characters matter?
They do. Duplicates are used to ascend a Character and make it stronger, and they only help that same Character. Focus your duplicates on the few Characters you use most instead of spreading them thin.
